When I was 16, I fractured my back because of all the back bending I did in rhythmic gymnastics. We were never taught how to warm up correctly. I remember waking up one morning, bending over to pick up my clothes when I heard a cracking sound in my lower back. It was the most painful experience. I never thought I’d be able to gain back flexibility again and do it without the pain I used to feel every day. I owe it to my teachers who have shown me good #alignment in my #yogapractice these past 4 years and have made me realize that there is a correct way to warm up the body for #backbends
