🚨 VHC Fruit Pizza Tarts 🚨
Servings: 1 fruit pizza and 12 fruit tarts
Ingredients:
• 1 Pillsbury 17 oz refrigerated sugar cookie dough (24 individual sugar cookies)
• 1 mandarin oranges in light syrup 11 oz can
• assorted berries: raspberries, blueberries, strawberries
Frosting ingredients:
• 1 cream cheese 8 oz package (soften)
• 2 tbsp mandarin orange juice from the can
• 1/4 cup powered sugar
Steps:
1. Divide the cookie package into half (12 for the pizza and 12 for the tarts).
2. Place 12 cookie dough pieces in the center of a cookie pan that has been lined with parchment paper.
3. Place another piece parchment paper around the same size as the pizza pan on top. Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough evenly, leaving about 1-inch from the edge.
4. Place 1 cookie dough per muffin cup, making 12 tarts.
5. Bake at 350F for 10 minutes or until golden brown. I cooked the cookie pizza and tarts separately.
6. Let the cookie pizza and tarts cool for about 15-20 minutes.
7. Open the can of mandarin oranges, drain the oranges BUT keep some of the juices to add to your frosting.
8. Wash all your berries and fruits that you want to add to your fruit pizza and tarts.
9. Make the frosting by adding soften cream cheese, powered sugar and 2 tbsp of the mandarin orange juice. Mix until well blended. Do a taste test to see if you need to add more sugar to your frosting.
10. Remove cookie tarts from the muffin pan. Add cream cheese frosting on the top. Top with fruits and berries of choice.
11. Spread the remaining cream cheese frosting on your fruit pizza. Get creative with your fruits and berries when arranging them on top.
Enjoy! ♥️ VHC

You ever get that feeling where you see a video of food and you’re like “Damn I need that”?
That’s what happened to us when we saw the videos from ETTV & FoodyTrip!
So we decided to make a ton of vegan-friendly cream cheese garlic bread inspired by the famous Korean street food ?
-
Serves 12 Burger Buns
(feel free to divide the recipe)
.
12 x Sunshine Extra Fine Wholemeal Burger Buns (yes, this is vegan friendly ?)
Lightly cut into 6 sections each
.
For the Cream Cheese:
Soaked Cashews 130g
Silken Tofu 300g
Lemon juice to taste
Icing sugar 2 tablespoons
Salt to taste
.
For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
Vegan Butter 211g (I’m using Nutellex, melted in microwave)
Minced Garlic 152g
Mixed Herbs
Salt to taste

.
We baked it in our @mayerspore oven for about 12 minutes at 180degC.

In this video, I will show you how to enjoy Yakiniku indoors :D
Last week, I won a package of beef at the recipe contest. And along with the beef, I received a letter with some tips to enjoy Yakiniku indoors and I never knew them! So, I will share those tips with you!!!
Yakiniku is mostly beef but you can make it with chicken or pork or meat of your choice ;)
BTW, in Japan at home, we usually use electrical barbecue called "hot plate " to cook Yakiniku at table. I really envy those who have barbecue set at home! We don't have that big yard in Japan, you know... And sadly, from this April, our closest BBQ spot is going to close because of the littering problem.
---------------------------------
Yakiniku Indoors (Japanese Grilled Meat / BBQ)
Difficulty: Very Easy
Time: 10min
Number of servings: n/a
Ingredients:
beef or meat of your choice
soy sauce + wasabi (in tube or freshly grated)
ponzu sauce (citrus-flavored soy sauce: you can mix 1 tbsp. soy sauce and 1 tbsp. lemon juice to make it)
Tips:
1. Color of the Meat:
Pink, red, brown, or etc... what color of the meat is the best?
To answer this question, it is difficult to tell which is better until you eat them. So just ask the butcher and trust them. hehe
2. The best way to cook Yakiniku:
Make sure you let the meat get back into room temperature before you cook. You will see the surface of the meat shining with its own juice and grease when it's ready. Then you don't have to turn the heat down to low to cook and you won't lose any good flavor! That is why outdoor barbecue is always good (because your meat is at room temperature). Of course it is the best if you have BBQ grill set at home, but if you don't, you can use a grill pan, cast-iron skillet, or fryingg pan on the stove, because the key is the meat temperature! It is the same for Sukiyaki, Shabu-Shabu, steaks, etc...
3. The best way to eat Yakiniku:
Don't forget to season the meat with salt and pepper before you cook. That definitely brings out the flavor of the meat. For the sauce, wasabi soy sauce or ponzu sauce is the best! Simple yet delicious! You have to try it out.
*Grill the meat until it's done to your taste!
