Being back in the UK is cool and all, but not really appreciating the jokes made on me having the coronavirus because I look Asian 🙄 Growing up in the UK during my teenage years I’ve experienced racism from local kids in town asking me to go back to my own country (even though I’m half English??? I can’t help that my Chinese genes are more dominant), just didn’t expect to still be seeing this kind of behaviour from people 🤷🏻♀️ Next time someone makes a racist attempt i’ma cough in their faces see how they feel bout that ☺️❤️

Recently I went out on dinner with my family in the UK, great food great time. When we left a young male adult helped keep the door open as we all walked out. We all - being well mannered people - said thank you seeing that he was so kind. While my uncle walked past him, I was next along with my half sister who was full Asian, he went “OH!” and made a hand gesture of covering his mouth 🤭 the moment he saw us, wanting a funny reaction from his friends at the table. I was shocked and didn’t even have time to process what just hit me. I thought it was an absolutely disgusting “joke” and totally racist against Asian people. I left the restaurant without confronting him, but I hope to whoever is traveling and if an experience like this hits you, stand up for yourself, this behaviour is absolutely disgusting and they should feel ashamed to even think it’s funny. (Also add a little cough, that’ll def make them laugh)
