I am a huge fan of white wine, and I had such a good time at Seafood Room yesterday.

Seafood Room makes a great place for drinkers who are eager to try something new since other than the usual grapes we see everywhere such as Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, she gives customers something more interesting and unique to try.

I first had a glass of Gewürztraminer from Germany, it was quite a distinctive one with peaches and roses flavours. I would say Gewürztraminer is a very elegant wine with a rich character; but for those (like me) who usually prefer something dry and find Moscato or Riesling overly sweet, I prolly will not recommend Gewürztraminer.

I find Gewürztraminer generally too sweet for my usual preference, but perhaps I may try it again when I am about to have something spicy and oily, since I am of a view that its aromatic sweetness may offset the spice in Asian cuisines. They may make a good combination.

I picked lobster ravioli as my main course, and therefore, I chose a glass of Chardonnay to pair with it. The lobster ravioli was rich and buttery and it matched perfectly with the creamy and nutty taste of Chardonnay. This Australian Chardonnay had a nice structure, and was dry and oaky. Do not miss it if you are ever going there!
