早期台灣電視台播放的卡通動畫中，總有那麼幾首很洗腦的主題曲和口號，其中《霹靂貓》更是其中佼佼者，當時那主題曲幾乎都會哼唱個幾句，而當時這句「霹靂～霹靂～霹靂貓！」可是人人都會喊的呀。
這旋律有喚起你的回憶嗎？《霹靂貓》早先是於1985年播放的電視卡通，台灣則是隔年引進播放，劇情主要講述一群霹靂貓族的貓型外星人，在母星壽命已盡，要爆炸前乘了太空船逃出，在來到一顆星球時，與同樣逃出霹靂星的變種人軍團相遇，並打算奪取霹靂貓王子手中那把霹靂劍，於是兩方人馬便在這顆星球上戰了起來。
這很老套但很通俗的正邪對抗故事，現在也開始籌備準備要登上大銀幕，並會交由《哥吉拉大戰金剛》的導演亞當‧溫高德（Adam Wingard）來執導，並會由華納兄弟影業出品，電影也會以電腦動畫與動畫混和呈現。
雖然離開拍還有段時間，但在2011年時，美國CN卡通頻道也推出了新版的《霹靂貓》動畫，於2020年時也在台灣的CN卡通頻道播出Q版搞笑風格的《霹靂貓 轟》卡通，有興趣的也可先去找來觀看唷。
