I am so pleased to announce that The Majestic Malacca Hotel, a YTL classis hotel located in the heart of Malacca has confirmed that they will be joining us for our next Travel Cook Eat! Malacca @cnmtravelcookeat on 27 Mar 2021 (tickets for the show (£5+fee) are now available and link on my website www.normanmusa.com).

I have stayed at this hotel many times and I just love the ambience, the colonial interiors and the 5-star service. For the show we will have Alvin, the hotel manager joining us live on the day to talk more about the hotel.

Super excited for this and I will talk a lot more about this virtual travel and cook-along/demo show during live demo ‘Norman & Friends’, cooking with @melissafeijmohsin this afternoon at 2:30pm Dutch time.

Thank you to all the registered guests and food influencers @dorothyporker @brunchchick @lekkeretenmetlinda and @makasihstreetfood for all these posts for Travel Cook Eat! Penang show earlier. @cnmtravelcookeat We had fun showcasing live from Penang and for over 90minutes we made almost everyone wanting to go to Penang to stay, eat and explore the historical city. Well done to my team @harripaddan and @sandy_h.a_ni for all the hard work and 2 months of practicing for this show. Thanks to Mark, our tourist guide from @simply.enak, Christoph, the Hotel Manager from @eohotelpg , Chef Nuril @nurilkarim from @jawihouse cafe and gallery and Katharine from @tropicalspicegarden. We are back next month with Malacca on 27 Mar for our next destination. Tickets are available now on my website. TravelCookEat! is a new online event project I have been working on with my team and our first ticketed event will be held on Saturday, 27 Feb 2021.

As many of us have been working from home and always looking for something exciting to do from our safe home comfort, hence the idea to do this virtual travel and cook-along came from a casual conversation I had with my good friend Harri.

For this 60-minute interactive online event, we are teaming up with a tourist guide and feature a hotel. I will run a cook-along session with a simple dish from the destination. All the information for the cook along are included in the eTravelPack (cover photo above) that you will receive before event.

For our first ticketed event (£5) on 27 Feb, I have chosen my hometown Penang, Malaysia and working along with the experienced tourist guide Mark, @markngtc from @simply.enak . We have invited Eastern & Oriental Hotel @eohotelpg to join us during the second part of the tour and you will get to see inside the hotel and listen to all the fascinating and historical stories about the hotel. The Hotel Manager will be joining us for this exciting part Thank you to the hotel team for this amazing collaboration.

Harri is hosting the event and my assistant, Sandy @sandy_h.a_ni has been working hard with me to put on the contents and technical bits so that we can provide you with an exciting online event.

We are marketing this for the viewers in the United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Germany and France (hence we chose at 11:30am for the timezone so the cook-along lunch is ready after the show ends) but the rest of the world are welcome to join too. Massive thank to the Tourism Malaysia offices in The Hague, Frankfurt and Paris for their supports.
