“𝐃𝐎𝐈𝐍’ 𝐈𝐓 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐌”
I recently saw a post of someone who said that she 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐭 that she pictured in her mind before arriving to her travel destination, and it got her frustrated. Luckily, she finally found that location slightly before the day ended and got super excited.
Of course I admire this lady’s perseverance, and I also do extra miles for my own content, especially when I’m doing it for work or to best portray the beauty of certain things/sites; but I don’t think I will spend a whole day only to search for a single “perfect location” for a “perfect shot”.
I love how Instagram has inspired people to share the beauty of the places they travel to. On the other hand, it kinda has initiated a different kind of traveling where people go to places for the sake of getting an “instagrammable” photo to share instead of embracing what the place has to offer, learning about the history, making new friends, or enjoying the company of their travel buddies.
What do you think about this? I’m really excited to hear your thoughts!
