We were having dim sum at possibly our family’s favorite Chinese restaurant, Paradise Teochew. There’s a new look at Scotts Square’s outlet and a new opening at Takashimaya! In celebration of the Imperial Treasure Club launch, each of the nine participating restaurants introduces a unique signature dish. I went to Imperial Treasure Teochew Cuisine at Takashimaya and they are serving Diced Abalone and Chicken Wrapped with Egg White (鲍鱼石榴球, $25/pc). The dish features freshly diced abalone, chicken, prawn, ham and Chinese mushroom wrapped in an elegant parcel of home made egg white sheet. The full flavoured bao is drizzled in chicken stock prepared for 8 hours.
