Computer scientist Chieko Asakawa has created a mobility aid for the blind… while being visually-impaired herself.
Her #AI #suitcase is a smart navigation device equipped with cameras and sensors which steers its users with vibrations on the handle, making solo travel safe and enjoyable.
Asakawa tells me her innovation shows how AI and technology can transform the lives of the visually-impaired: “It will give us a new experience… to be independent.”
