你喜歡何時的頭髮狀態?不少人說是剛洗頭吹頭後,因為此時頭髮最乾爽飄逸;可惜髮型最佳狀態保鮮期極短,不到半天頭油出現了,前陰變「笠」或會出現barcode頭之餘,最怕飄出嚇人的頭油臭味!中醫理論認為濕熱體質人士最容易遇上頭油問題,平日如多吃油膩、重口味食物、經常熬夜,脾胃無法正常運化,濕熱就會上蒸至頭頂,增加油脂分泌,引致毛髮黏膩,亦容易出現生頭瘡甚至脫髮情況。
頭油多令人想頻密洗頭,但洗頭太多令頭皮乾燥亦引致出油,宜每日洗頭一次至兩次,使用清爽的無添加洗頭水,護髮素只塗於髮中至髮尾,不宜接觸頭皮;平日多梳頭促進血液循環。同時進行內在調理,適量進食有清熱祛濕功效的食物,例如冬瓜、生薏米、赤小豆、粟米鬚、菊花、雞蛋花等,少吃生冷、煎炸油膩、重口味食物,有助紓緩頭油問題。

Oily hair during summer?
At which point of the day do you like your hair the most? Many would say right after washing or blowing dry their hair because their hair would be silky smooth and nice to the touch. Unfortunately, this ideal condition does not last long. Our scalp would begin to get oily, causing our hair to collapse, develop barcode-like fringes, or even smell!
According to the Chinese Medicine theories, individuals with the damp heat body constitution would develop oily scalp more easily. The habits of consuming oily and savory food and staying up late will disrupt the functions of the spleen and stomach, causing symptoms that relate to damp heat to reflect on the head. Excessive sebum secretion on the scalp will cause hair to feel sticky, and this will cause sores to develop on the scalp and even lead to hair loss.
Having an oily scalp will make us want to wash our hair more frequently, but do note that over washing our hair can cause the scalp to become dry, and in turn encouraging the scalp to secrete more sebum. Washing our hair once or twice a day is sufficient, and we should opt for natural and refreshing shampoos. Apply conditioners along the hair strands and not on the scalp. Also, comb your hair regularly to promote blood circulation.
At the same time, consume ingredients that can clear heat and dispel dampness from the body. These ingredients include winter melon, coix seed, rice bean, corn silk, chrysanthemum, and frangipani. Avoiding raw, cold, deep fried, oily, and heavily seasoned foods can also fix an oily scalp.

糖尿病人用餐技巧
因為工作關係或種種原因,香港人經常外出用餐,一旦患上糖尿病,飲食宜「三低一高」——低鹽、低糖、低脂及高纖,雖然外食看似很多選擇,但主食一般都以低纖的白飯為主,菜式調味重又脂肪含量高。所以「糖友」要掌握以下用餐技巧,讓你食得健康。不止糖友,其實一般人都適用啊!
情況:主食為白飯
用餐技巧:白飯屬高GI食物,可以叫「少飯」減少食用白飯的份量,配搭多點蔬菜。亦要避免以餸菜醬汁拌飯進食,以免吸收更多油份。
情況:主食為湯麵
用餐技巧:選清湯比濃湯好,選粗麵比幼麵好,只吃麵不喝湯,以免攝取過量鹽份。
情況:主食為肉類
用餐技巧:選擇新鮮肉食比加工食物好,避免香腸、火腿、午餐肉等。
情況:菜式有沙律
用餐技巧:醬汁另上,選擇橄欖油或油醋汁,比蛋黃醬或千島沙律醬好。
情況:蔬菜充滿油或芡汁
用餐技巧:使用過水法,將蔬菜浸泡一下熱水才吃;可以的話直接叫「走油」或「走汁」。
情況:菜式多為炸物
用餐技巧:如果是炸雞類,建議去皮才吃。
情況:套餐附送飲品
用餐技巧:選擇熱飲,糖包會另上,可以自己控制甜度。凍飲的話宜叫「少甜/走甜」甚至「糖漿另上」。

Healthy eating tips for diabetic patients
Due to work and many other reasons, Hong Kong citizens often opt to eat out. But once diagnosed with diabetes, patients will have to watch their diets and make sure what they eat are low in sodium, sugar, and fats and high in fiber.
Eating out might give us endless choices, but most main courses come with white rice that is low in fiber. Other dishes are either often heavily seasoned or high in fats. Therefore, patients with diabetes, or even regular folks, should consider the healthy eating tips below.
Situation: White rice as main course
Tip: white rice has a high GI; opt for a small bowl of rice and eat more vegetables. Avoid drizzling any sauce on the rice, as rice can absorb all the fats in the sauce
Situation: Soup noodles as main course
Tip: opt for clear soup and thick noodles; eat the noodles and avoid drinking the soup, as it is normally high in sodium
Situation: Meat as main course
Tip: choose fresh meat over processed meat; avoid hotdogs, ham, and luncheon meat
Situation: Salad in meals
Tip: separate the sauce of the salad; if possible, choose olive oil or vinaigrette over mayonnaise or thousand island dressing
Situation: Oily or starchy vegetables
Tip: rinse them in hot water to wash out the excess oil and starch; if possible, ask the restaurant to cut down on the use of oil and starch
Situation: Deep fried food
Tip: remove the skin if you are eating fried chicken
Situation: Complimentary beverages
Tip: choose warm drinks, and ask the restaurant to pack the sugar separately; for chilled drinks, opt for less sugar, sugarless, or ask the restaurant to pack the syrup separately

電動蒸煮飯盒試用影片來了,我用一架單層和一架雙層包辦了一家四口,兩大兩小的晚餐,白米煮成熟飯、花菇蒸蛋、蒸白鯧魚、蠔油花椰菜蘿蔔和紅棗枸杞排骨湯,50分鐘完成,我就只需要備料和調味而已,不用全身油煙味🎉🎉
因為是便攜式,我覺得更適合外食族,直接用裡面附蓋子的碗去打包飯菜,回家或是回辦公室用這個蒸煮器加熱(你知道的,外面的食物我們就是多加熱一下消毒才吃比較安心嘛),10-15分鐘就可以吃了,很方便。

So this is the video that I try cooking with both single layer and double layer electric steamers, I put seasoned raw ingredients like rice, fish, egg, vege and ribs in and simply press “on”, 4 of us in the family (2 adults & 2 kids) enjoy our dinner within 50 minutes, and, no cooking smoke smell on me finally🎉🎉
I do like to recommend this to people who eat outside food, it’s better heat up and eat, you know, health reason especially during pandemic days, good for people who prefer low oil/ no oil diet, just simply steam the ingredients 😉

菠菜的做法常熱食為主,如帶便當上班,蔬菜再經返熱的話,可能會釋出有害的物質。那不如做一個涼拌小菜吧,那便可以在午餐中吃多一點蔬菜了。
現在買到的小菠菜,香甜而沒有澀味,加點醬油和芝麻油已經非常好吃呢。
材料
一人份
菠菜300克
鹽一茶匙
調味料
蒜蓉一湯匙
麻油一湯匙
豉油一茶匙
芝麻一湯匙
菠菜用水洗乾淨,在菠菜頭的一邊用小刀界開十字,然後撕開,用水沖乾淨底部
在一個拌碗內,準備冷水或室溫水
燒開一鍋熱水,加入鹽一茶匙,水滾後下菠菜,煮2分鐘立即撈起,並放入預先準備的冷水內,待一分鐘,瀝乾水份
用手輕按菠菜,擠出多餘水份
在一個拌碗內,放入菠菜和所有調味料,拌勻後,便可以上桌

清潔抽油煙機的油網和油杯一直是我認為廚房裡最頭疼的工作。
以前用過的方法很多:廚房專用清潔劑、強力去污粉、洗碗精、泡熱水、用蒸汽...等等的。
但現在我發現用麵粉是最好也最環保的方法,用小蘇打粉的效果也很好,但小蘇打粉的摩擦力太強,不但把原本透明的集油杯磨成白霧的,還把我電爐面板的烤漆給磨掉了,如果大家去看紅酒燉牛尾的影片,爐子面板有一小塊落漆就是被小蘇打粉磨掉的(哭),所以我後來就不用小蘇打粉了。
如果想嘗試用小蘇打粉的人,建議要戴上手套,不然手和指甲會變很乾澀哦。
