There are so many places to discover while in Muar, here are a few spots that I managed to go during this trip. You guys should checkout my “MUAR” instatories highlight for more insights on this trip.

1st - 3rd photo : MUAR ART GALLERY @muarartgallery - Perfect spot for art lover as this is an art gallery and also serves as an event space. It has a sky garden which is perfect for private ceremony. There are cafes along the street and also a place called @artspace_muarartgallery where you can do some arts with your kids and just chill around having coffee or even boba tea.

4th - 7th photo : TANJUNG EMAS
- Bring your family here and have a lil snack along the river. Relax and look at the nature and watch the sunset 🌅 Your kids can play and run around the dataran coz it is spacious!

9th - 10th photo : BACK LAND CHENDOL - Located in Jalan Sisi, this is a must visit spot at night time as you can enjoy the cooling cendol surrounded by lights and beautiful murals

Can’t stop thinking about the food coma I had in Muar, and here are some of the food I tried and which I recommend for you to try too. There are so much more eateries that we wanted to try but we had short amount of time so we can’t fit everything in our schedule 🥘

1st & 2nd photo : SATAY WARISAN
- Opens at 7am. You can find from satay, lontong, mee rebus and soto here. My recommendation ; try the satay daging and mee rebus. These two are my favs!

3rd - 5th photo : 434 KOPI HOUSE
- The menu is extensive but I love the Kopi Ice and the bun with kaya & butter. You can order any coffee coz they are all so rich and aromatic and has strong depth taste to it. And the bun is soft and has that nice toasted crunch on the outside.

6th photo : A LUCK KOPITIAM
- Moonlight bread and the hot kopi susu is 👌🏼 nyums!

7th photo : ISA ASAM PEDAS
- Muar- styled asam pedas, a bit sour to my liking and but yeah it still tastes good!

8th photo : CHENDOL KAMPUNG HULU MUAR
- Many selection to choose from but my favs are the kelapa laut and durian. The shaved ice is ‘bingsu-style’ it is so creamy and love the texture. This is a must stop at night time, just relax and chill!

9th photo : MANGO FLOAT ROYALE MELAKA - A thirst quencher, cooling and refreshing with real mangoes

10th photo : CHENG BOI OTAK-OTAK
- Love this otak-otak, it taste fresh and the spices used is on point!

Muar is a charming little town which I have fallen in love with ❤️ This is my first time here and I am glad to have this opportunity to explore this town as a tourist. We walked around the town and find these amazing murals (especially the famous “The Loving Sisters”), so much to see! I highly recommend to walk around town, explore the food offerings and meet the friendly locals. I have so much to share, so be ready coz I’ll be spamming the feed 😁
