Please give me 5 minutes of your time.
I've been wanting to talk about this for the longest time but idk.. I’ve always been nervous at voicing out my opinion but here it goes! 🤣
Only in hope that more people would be aware of this issue. (Definitely not enforcing anyone)
I have been practising conscious purchasing & usage for the past 2-3 years now. If you noticed, I wore my clothes repetitively mainly because I started learning more about fashion and it’s environmental impact.
It’s actually really devastating! How much pollution and unethical practices behind the manufacturing process of our clothes, accessories and idk, whatever products.
I think most of us aren’t aware on HOW MUCH WASTAGE can have impact on the environment.
Clothing store that has consistent weekly new trendy items are probably the biggest contributor to wastage. The fast fashion industry are the top 3 most polluted industry! (I’ll share a short video on my story)
This year, I have decided to practice going vegetarian at least 2 days a week to help the environment. (google and read up more on how this helps!).
I’m definitely not an environmentally friendly person. Sadly, I am guilty of driving far distance everyday instead of taking public transport or car pooling, and many more!
But i hope this helps inspire you to make little changes and sacrifices in your life that could help reduce the negative impact on the environment. A little goes a long way!
I hope you guys could join me too by practising being a little more conscious every day. Educate your friends and family so that everyone can make little adjustment to reduce wastage.
Some ideas I thought might help you kickstart:
💚The easiest - start using reusable groceries bags/ bring your own plastic bags.
💚Shop more at slow fashion and ethically made clothing.
💚Buy more sustainable style instead of following trends.
💚Understand and appreciate quality over quantity.
💚Eat more greens and less meat.
💚Buy and use a reusable Starbucks cup. (bring it whenever you can! You get RM2 discounts too)
💚Use the public transport or car pool whenever you can.
💚bring a bottle to refill instead of purchasing plastic bottle water.

Reduce single use plastic wastage by weighing your vegetables and fruits without the need of separate plastic bags, and ask them to stick the pricing on your reusable bag like this.
I was told, however, that they are reluctant to do this, as some (irresponsible a55h0l3) removed some pricing stickers to avoid paying for his items.
That makes him a cheat.
So it’s idiots like this that disables eco conscious consumers to not get a chance to make eco changes while shopping for groceries.
