Dear students,
As stated by the Ministry of Education and the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC), the next 14 days will be critical to Taiwan's COVID-19 prevention efforts. To avoid a new wave of COVID-19 cases in Taiwan after the Spring Break Holidays, please follow the instructions below to protect yourself and the others.
Anyone who had traveled to the following tourist spots are strongly advised to stay home and begin 14 days of self-health management. Should you experience any symptoms suspiciously similar to COVID-19, including fever, cough, respiratory illnesses, smell and taste disorders with unknown cause, please go to a doctor for help as soon as possible andshould NOT enter campus. You should also implement active health surveillance:
Alishan National Forest Recreation Area (阿里山國家森林遊樂區); Dongdamen Night Marketin Hualien County (花蓮東大門夜市); Wenhua Road in Chiayi City (嘉義文化路); Guanzihling (關子嶺), Hutoupi (虎頭埤), Wushantou Reservoir (烏山頭水庫) and Wusanto Huching Resort Hotel (湖境度假會館) in Tainan; Bade Pond Ecological Park (埤塘風景區) in Tainan; Singda Harbor (興達港) and Chishan Old Street (旗山老街) in Kaohsiung; and Chaotian Temple (朝天宮) in Yunlin County’s Beigang Township (北港); south of Pingtung County’s Nanjhou Township (南州), including Kenting National Park.
Please keep a social distance of at least 1.5m indoors and 1m outdoors, wear a mask and wash your hands frequently. It is now compulsory to wear a face mask when taking public transportation. Please wear a mask and seek immediate medical attention if you are feeling ill and tell the doctor your travel history. Call 1922 for inquiries.
Masks will become mandatory for anyone entering the campus beginning from April 8th. We also remind all of our students to follow the pandemic measures, such as wearing masks or monitoring temperature while taking public transports or entering into hospitals.
Short-term exchange students who are unable to purchase masks with their ID card can purchase 3 masks a week at NT$5 per mask during office hours (Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm) at the Office of International Affairs.
