The flower which is single need not envy the thorns that are numerous - Rabindranath Tagore
I’ve been a fan of Tagore’s work ever since I discovered him back in school and he is one of the reasons for my fascination in poetry. The Nobel Prize-winning Bengali poet, author, painter, musician, and mystic had many profound ideas about philosophy and literature — on what it truly means to love, what does morality mean, what purpose art serves for humans, and how power works in personal and political settings. Almost 80 years after his death, his ideas are as timeless as life itself 🌟
