New York Public Library ประกาศให้ดาวน์โหลดไฟล์ High-Resolution ของภาพถ่ายประวัติศาสตร์ของอเมริกาจำนวนกว่า 40,000 ภาพได้ฟรี มีภาพที่มาจากช่างภาพอย่าง Berenice Abbott, Walker Evans และ Dorothea Lang อยู่ด้วย
ภาพถ่ายที่ถูก digitized เป็น digital file ก็คือข้อมูล (data) ที่สามารถนำไปใช้ประโยชน์ทั้งทางด้านการศึกษา การวิเคราะห์ วิจัย การออกแบบ การตลาด ความคิดสร้างสรรค์ ฯลฯ
