In a new editorial from the The New England Journal of Medicine, the medical establishment writes that “the greatest threat to global public health is the continued failure of world leaders to keep the global temperature rise below 1.5° and to restore nature.” Now, more than ever before, we need to demand that our world leaders invest in nature-based solutions to the interconnected crises of climate, biodiversity loss and human health.

＃整治安慶圳中上游 ＃思考青埔分洪道方案
整治安慶圳一刻不停歇，會勘討論青埔分洪道方案。
治水絕不能只是「頭痛醫頭，腳痛醫腳」，安慶圳長年來逢大雨淹水的問題，除了上游建有平和滯洪池，下游段清淤作業，也要思考中游段如何透過分洪導流，降低瞬時洪峰流量，才能更全面且系統性地改善淹水情況。
治芬在記者會後一週內，和水利署李榮富組長、縣府水利處等人，一同到安慶圳中游段會勘，討論安慶圳大排中游段分洪的可行方案。
我們很清楚，這項分洪工程不能再用舊思維思考，更要思考未來如何與國際設計對接，安慶圳整治應該也要能 ＃掀蓋 進行，不僅能降低工程預算，也能打造更多親水空間，讓虎尾成為更好的水岸城市！
因此，治芬建請水利署引導縣府，導入以 ＃以自然為本的解決方案（Nature-based Solutions （NBS）），期待能以 NBS 結合綠色設施，融合生態系統因素；並融入 ＃在地滯洪 概念，考量在地景觀生態因素、降低生態衝擊之工法。因為需要較大腹地，也希望地主台糖公司、農田水利署能積極配合討論。
此外，目前污水管道尚未建置完成，仍有家庭廢水經由虎尾鎮雨水下水道 D 幹線排除，治芬也建請增加 ＃水質淨化工法，如礫間處理工法等，以去除水中污染物及淨化水質，建請雲林縣政府納入後續規劃設計之考量。
治水真的不是件容易的事，我也希望能趕快解決鄉親每逢雨季的擔憂。希望未來水利署、雲林縣政府能加緊腳步，趕在2023年中水岸縫合計畫前，儘早完成分洪建設！
