Clubhouse 爆紅，是因為它為用戶提供了oxytocin。當我們和家人、情人以及朋友相聚時，大腦都會釋放出 oxytocin，讓我們感受到「愛」。在被迫隔離的日子，大眾多以冷冷的文字溝通，現突然出現了一個 app 讓我們方便地感受到朋友聲音的溫度和節奏，那種派對上的喧鬧氣氛，刺激大腦產生 oxytocin，治癒了大眾的寂寞。故此有不少人在頭幾天廢枕忘餐地在 clubhouse 流連，像癮君子一樣渴求著這種 love drug。
在狂喜過後，clubhouse 似乎也可以為社會帶來長遠的好處。
Clubhouse 上一度出現了各種打破地域界限和禁忌的房間，不過最後幾乎都被煙滅，原因是 stay connected 的民眾是抵抗壓迫的最大力量。這讓我想起了Timothy Snyder《On Tyranny》的其中一個 chapter，節錄如下；
【12. Make eye contact and small talk. 】
Tyrannical regimes arose at different times and places in the Europe of the twentieth century, but memoirs of their victims all share a single tender moment. Whether the recollection is of fascist Italy in the 1920s, of Nazi Germany of the 1930s, of the Soviet Union during the Great Terror of 1937–38, or of the purges in communist eastern Europe in the 1940s and ’50s, people who were living in fear of repression remembered how their neighbors treated them. A smile, a handshake, or a word of greeting—banal gestures in a normal situation—took on great significance. When friends, colleagues, and acquaintances looked away or crossed the street to avoid contact, fear grew.
讓我們以各種形式繼續和各地的人 stay connected，除了日子會容易過一點之外，誰知道這個 hyper connected 的超大型 neural network 將來可以再次孕育出什麼創新的思想去抵抗逆境？
就趁過年，能見的就見，不能見的，至少也可以聽聽大家的聲音。
