เนื่องจากสถานที่เที่ยวของ Tohoku ในช่วง Autumn กับ Winter นั้นค่อนข้างคล้ายกันนะ ผมเลยคิดว่าอาจจะเอามารวบลงพร้อมๆกันไปเลย
ส่วน Hokkaido ฤดูหนาวก็รอหลังจาก Tohoku ครับผม

ป.ล. ในส่วนของ Shikoku และ Kyushu นั้นผมยังไม่ค่อยได้ไปนะครับ รวมถึง Tottori และ Niigata ด้วย ไว้ถ้าได้ไปจะมารีวิวนะครับ ^^

Deluxe Tempura & Niku udon. This udon shop is quite well known in Nihombashi 日本橋 & Ningyocho 人形町. Their deluxe version has both sliced Beef Meat & some Seasonal Seafood & Veggies Tempura, including the Late Winter to Spring 菜の花の天ぷら. I also added a Tempura Egg, so it was more toppings than noodles this round 😜😂😂. The udon & toppings were good, but the base Dashi was bland as... I personally still think Fukuoka Hakata has the best Dashi for Soba/Udon, some shop’s make it so well you will cry over why u didn’t discover them earlier. Well, Fukuoka did invent Udon and Soba in Japan afterall, in fact there are shops within Tokyo which advertise that they specialise in Kyushu style soft udon too .. @ おにやんま 人形町店

Unagi Set うなぎ 定食 6切れ with Eel Liver Soup 肝吸い ¥4,140. Quite a noticeable Charcoal aroma but not overwhelmingly so. The flavors here have less Kabayaki Tare sauce by default, and can be quite bony - so not for everyone! Obviously for Summer the eels aren’t yet that meaty & marbled so this visit won’t serve as proper justification, otherwise they wouldn’t invent 土用の丑の日 as a marketing gimmick to sell them for stamina in Summer. Still celebrative to eat this for Summer though plus these days eels are farmed for this particular purpose too, albeit there’s also a Winter 土用の丑 .. ☺️ 【Unagi Takeya うなぎ竹屋, Karatsu, Saga Prefecture, Kyushu】

Last winter, I had the opportunity to tag along on a luxury Kyushu tour that included a few amazing ryokans, and the opportunity to spend a night on the coveted Seven Stars (Nanatsuboshi) luxury train that runs through Southern Japan.

I've been posting photos and write-ups about them all month on my Facebook page, but that's actually because I took a few days to travel to each location and make this video.
Unfortunately EVERY single day I went out, it was rainy. Fukuoka has had a lot of rain this year, but the reflections of the lights in the pavement made for a pretty picture too.

Hakata City and Hikari Square Illuminations are running until mid-January.
Fukuoka Tower and Canal City are until Christmas day, I believe.
The Christmas Market outside of Hakata Station also finishes on the 25th of this month.

But if you drop by Fukuoka next year around this season, you can expect to see very much of the same (and perhaps a bit more.)
