After a Moment of Silence, Tory Lanez Release “DAYSTAR”☔️

在過了3個月的沉默後，Tory Lanez在9/25發行了以自己本名 “Daystar” Shemuel Shua Peterson為名稱的第五張錄音室專輯《DAYSTAR》，此張專輯共17首歌曲，由他自己的廠牌One Umbrella Records發行。此張專輯不僅發表了跟7/12槍擊Megan Thee Stallion事件相關的說法，也回應了許多在事情發生之後批評他、切割他的人，整張1個小時的作品闡述了槍擊事件另一個主角Tory Lanez自己的說法。

“MONEY OVER FALLOUTS”
專輯第一首歌開頭截取了許多事情發生之後譴責Tory Lanez的新聞、廣播片段，整首說明了他自己是被陷害的，"Megan people trying to frame me for a shooting/But them boys ain't clean enough."，他沒有射傷Megan，更質疑的寫到“怎麼可能沒傷到骨頭跟韌帶，當妳腳被開槍?"，更嗆聲了他才不鳥Megan的老闆Jay-Z說了些什麼。

"Friends Become Strangers"
第三首歌，他表達了兩人如何變成情侶，但是Megan卻向她閨密說因為兩人都失去了母親才關係緊密，更指Megan是這段感情的背叛者，在事情發生後不但沒有跳出來說清楚，更向大眾說謊，傷透了他的心。

"Sorry But I Had To...,",
Tory Lanez說明到自己為何不講述整件事情的經過，"You n**gas playin' Instagram, I'm playin' real life/Think I'm finna talk about a open case just for some likes?"因為偵查不公開的規定，他的律師建議他不要談論事發經過；回擊Asian Doll說根本不認識她；說JR. Smith整季投籃命中率只有9%、板凳小弟；回擊JOJO把自己從Feature中除去；反擊許多名人(Dream Doll, Chance the Rapper…)在這三個月間對他的負面評論。更再次質疑了如果從背後開槍，你怎麼能夠指認出是我開的槍。"Since the event, you never called me, but you can't deny me/If you got shot from behind, how can you identify me?"

Tory Lanez將時間拉回7/12稍早，說自己跟Kylie Jenner在泳池邊聊天，氣氛很好，承認自己對Kylie動了心，兩人忽略了Megan的感受"Me and Kylie still off in the pool / We was chilling, kicking shit, was cool/Both of us didn't know you was tripping/Even though I got a crush on Kylie”

此張專輯發行了之後，想當然爾是造成一陣騷動，直接登上Apple Music第一名。但是網路上的評論是非常兩極的，很多人覺得發行時間點非常不妥，挑在非常接近Breonna Taylor案件令人失望與憤怒的審判結果出爐的時候；有些人覺得Tory Lanez就是個垃圾，用傷害女性的新聞炒熱度；Tory的死忠粉絲當然是支持自己喜愛的偶像；有些人也只是湊熱鬧想知道整件事情的經過。

專輯上線沒過多久，就有許多人跳出來說Tory Lanez這張滿是謊話的專輯，有流出的消息顯示在事情發生的當下Tory Lanez對MTS說了 “Dance, Bitch!!”，在事後又訊息Megan說自己很後悔，那天他喝太醉了，都是他的錯，也付封口費給她跟她的閨密希望她們保持沉默，事情到底什麼情況就連跟Tory Lanez親自對話過的大前輩T.I.也呼籲希望當事者能夠自己說明清楚經過，TI本人是拒絕說明的。

CHAINS is about the imprisonment of the mind, chains of habit. This can be anything from addictions to unfounded fears. They all start as a simple, small experience and then become normal patterns of behaviour. Once they are a part of your life, they are extremely difficult to get rid of. Remember, at the end of the day we choose our own attachments in life. It is the freedom to choose your own path to believe what you want to believe in and also to be your own person.
