Jordan throwback #1Moment4Them- Inside the humble temporary home of a Syrian Man and his family, he is the leader of his clan &he used to be a millionaire working in construction in his home country. Ever since the civil war, all work stopped for him and his people. Many escaped the war to neighboring counties and many also didn't make it. He first left in cars, then when it was unsafe to use cars, he and his family had to walk on foot to safety. Some of his family that escaped in cars was bombed. Every night there would be bombs so even if he stayed on there the chances of living is nill. The young and strong were left there to fight, and the elderly and young escaped.
He told us about his long journey of how he ended up where he is sitting today, and it was a constant move, constant struggle and all the while he still thanks Allah for everything, subhanAllah. He said that everything is from Allah, Allah takes care of him, subhanAllah.
When we asked him what he thought about his future, he said it is worrying especially for his next generation, they have no education, all the dreams of being a doctor or a lawyer has been killed because of this war and their situation as refugees . :(( When asked if he was given an opportunity to live and work in Malaysia, he said that, no matter what, he wants to return to his home country, and wherever he goes he will bring his entire family/clan with him, subhanAllah.
His story ends with him thanking the Malaysian Students esp a brother named Musa for being the first to give support and aid to his camp. Providing food and electricity, alhamdulilah. May Allah bless all the refugees with strength and the highest levels of Jannah, ease their struggles and give support to all who struggle to help them as well, aameen.
Jazakallah khair and thank u, to @fatihashuib & her team & AJK for making all of this possible. #1moment4them #pray4syria #peace #love #hope #1ummah #MZGoPro

250,000 Vietnamese, Chinese, Cambodian people passed through and or lived on this small island off the coast of Malaysia. Upwards of 40,000 - 60,000 people at one time - making this place the most populated place on earth at one time. Today, my friends and I visited. You should visit yourself before the government turns this place into a resort and the refugee experience will be lost forever! Make your way to Terengganu via Kuala Lumpur and hire a boat via your hotel. Hope for good weather! During the stormy winter months boats might not go out and you should leave early because if the tide is low your boats can't return to land. Special thanks to everyone who made this video possible. Thank you to the refugees who laid foundation for me and the other second generation Vietnamese to have an identity.
