Green Treasure Point is one of the most eye-catching shops along Hutton Lane lately… due to its attractive turquoise coloured façade. One would think that the place is a modern, hipstery café but in actual fact, it offers a Nyonya menu. One of their key highlights is that all dishes are freshly cooked with no MSG added… the menu is standardly Nyonya but customization is possibly by making early reservation and arrangement. Green Treasure Point only serves Set Lunch during lunch hours whilst ala-carte menu is available for dinners. The Set Lunch would consist of Appetizer, Rice, Main and a glass of drink… for RM13.90. Not too shabby for a quick fix.

Diners are spoilt for choices especially when it comes to Nyonya Food at Sri Bahari Road, just that stretch of road itself, there are 3 Nyonya Restaurants. Few doors away from Ceki, Baba Phang 峇峇之家 is equally popular and the crowd can be seen in the evenings. It is however, relatively quieter during the day time. Like any Nyonya restaurants, the menu features many familiar Nyonya delights, including soups and desserts. Prices are of restaurant-standard. While there were some hits and misses, the serving portion was generally more generous than its competitors. Worth checking out if you yearn for Nyonya food.

At the newly developed commercial area of Jelutong- Nova Place is starting to welcome a spate of tenants. One of which is RWMI, an abbreviation of Rich World Marketing Investment. We were deeply impressed by the European-styled interior of the cafe but was shocked to find out that it serves Nyonya food, in which the price points seem to be a lot higher than usual (Kiam Chai Boey selling at Rm 19.90+). While we did not manage to try out a lot of their food, the drinks were alright and reasonably priced. Not too bad as a place to catch up with friends but not too sure if the food is worth trying.
