A Wonder Bowl was born with the intention of bringing interesting food targeted at Millennials. The stall is started by a few professional chefs who strive to create unique dishes that are not commonly found elsewhere.
For $5.50 a bowl, the Lu Rou Fan comes with a huge piece of braised meat, some braised minced pork, salted vegetables and a hardboiled egg. It is supposed to be eaten like a Korean Bibimbap, where you mix all the ingredients together. I really liked how the flavours came together! I think the star has got to be the piece of braised meat which was sous-vide for 24 hours, thus so tender and flavourful.
We were so impressed by the Chicken Broth-Crab Meat Spring Onion Egg Rice Bowl. Having a very traditional Teochew flavour, the Chicken Broth is made from scratch together with crab meat and tee po (Sun Dried Flatfish Bones). The broth was very fragrant and light, and the tee po gave it a very unique flavour. It really reminded me of some good home-cooked food! The meat was a mixture of crab meat and minced pork, and its texture was like tofu.

Ah Orh Seafood Restaurant is a family-run restaurant since 1919. Their main outlet in Jalan Bukit Merah serves a wide variety of fresh seafood prepared in old-fashioned Teochew style. The Pomfret Steamboat is an umami bomb, thanks to the addition of dried flatfish (ti-po) which makes the broth extremely tasty. Simmered over charcoal, the natural flavours of the fresh ingredients shine, and the rich broth has a distinct and robust smokiness that you can’t find at many fish head steamboat places.

DomDom Hamburger limited menu 'a whole flatfish burger'. The burger has an impact looking, doesn't it? DomDom hamburger is the first hamburger chain to open in Japan but it has been deprived of the share by other hamburger chains. But it sometimes release interesting burgers. Do you remember soft shell crab burger or okonomiyaki hamburger which I posted before? It's DomDom burger. The flatfish burger set (burger, French fries and drink) is 960 yen(8.7 USD).

材料:
鱈魚(大比目魚) / flatfish 2片
蔥段 30公克/scallion 30g
薑片 30公克/ginger 30g
米酒 適量/cooking rice wine q.s.
油 60公克/oil 60g
蒜末 20公克/garlic 20g
蔥花 20公克/scallion 20g
調味料:
豆酥 120公克/ fried crispy soy bean 120g
糖 1茶匙/sugar 1tbsp.
辣椒醬 1大匙/ chili sauce 1tbsp.
作法:
1.鱈魚(大比目魚)刮去皮上細鱗後洗淨。
2.將魚放在蒸盤上,撒上少許米酒,再將蔥段、薑片鋪至魚上。
3.將作法2的魚放入水已滾的蒸鍋中,以大火蒸約15分鐘。挑去蔥、薑後將水分倒除。
4.熱鍋,倒入油,放入蒜末炒香。接著放入豆酥炒勻,再加入糖,開小火不停翻炒。至顏色變金黃,再加入辣椒醬炒勻。
5.炒至豆酥顏色變深且酥香後,加入蔥花炒勻,鋪至作法4的魚上即可。
