If anyone is to summarise the essence of my portraits, I hope it is this:�She has the gift to draw out and capture the timeless elegance and soft courage of each woman that she photographs.��It was so much joy to work with Charlotte in planning her Girlboss shoot. Most women always tell me how they are very unnatural in front of the camera, and I always pride myself in the ability to set anyone at ease during our shoots. Yet Charlotte needed nothing from my ability of that.

From the get go, she was so open to let me into her world, to let me explore the different sides of her, and as we chatted away on our shared loves of dogs and bubble teas - the shoot simply flew by.

5 ROUTINES TO ACHIEVE YOUR CREATIVE GOALS
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As a creative entrepreneur, I have discovered more and more the importance of the system of how we work - especially because our minds are not naturally wired towards structures or systems.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here are a few work routines that I find help me a lot in the past 2-3 years in working more consistently, whilst putting in time into new projects and ideas.��(1) setting a goal system list - setting out the next action step you need to get closer to accomplishing each goal and the expected deadline to it - and review the list regularly as things do tend to evolve quickly these days��(2) don’t have too many goals at the same time - decluttering goals is a thing too! (this is one that I struggle with a lot being someone who has too many ideas and too little focus!)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
(3) plan your day ahead the night before - transfer anything you may have on your to-do list on to your schedule with time slots assigned to each task (I find with a to-do list with no set time for the tasks, I end up simply not doing it)��(4) getting the important work done in the morning if possible - and leaving all emails, admin work and meetings to the mid-late afternoon when our focus starts to drift (mmm what should I have for dinner?)��(5) having a renewing morning routine that includes 500-800ml of water, physical exercise and a nutritional breakfast!

5 important lessons that I have learnt / am learning as a creative entrepreneur and girlboss:��(1) surrounding yourself with people that are good for you and motivates you�
(2) saying no to things or people and drawing firm boundaries even when they try to push�
(3) giving myself grace when perfection isn’t achieved - just keep taking it one step at a time�
(4) learning to rest and care for my body and soul intentionally and regularly
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
(5) catching myself reacting/making decisions out of fear (e.g. fear of not having enough work, fear of having too much work, fear that I’m not good enough... the list goes on)
