Being someone in the beauty spotlight and having a camera stuck in my face (admittedly of my own doing) everyday is eye-opening. It shows me every flaw, every wrinkle, every bit of asymmetry. In a way, it helps me embrace what I can’t change, but I’ve always been the type to ask “why not?” and that’s what I thought when @docfinderkorea approached me and asked if I would like to change the shape of my face, the shape of my nose, and to correct the asymmetry in my eyelids. Here was someone offering to take away the reason I always take my selfies from the left side of my face (my right jaw is larger), the reason why I can’t take a photo face forward without large, long lashes to block my asymmetrical eyelids, and the reason why I feel like I can’t smile too widely at the camera (my nose takes the focus away from the eyes). These are reasons that I’ve struggled with personally for years now. Today is day 7 post surgery (scroll through the album to see me at my most vulnerable - makeup free, hair unstyled and messy, wearing my hospital gown, with Eugenia from @docfinderkorea who was a blessing throughout this!), and I am so optimistic about the results! I will be starting to post to my Stories soon (though probably filtered!) but know that I will slowly be releasing more videos, and more information about my journey throughout this process with @docfinderkorea and @banobagi_english!
