Had some 饭 reading this informative article on the history of the ubiquitous rice cooker, and how a Japanese woman had the biggest influence in its development. It’s a good read, especially after the recent BBC Food video that went viral because of the host’s unconventional method of preparing the rice for the egg fried rice recipe. I’m sure many of us do this differently!

In support of the Health Promotion Board, Singapore though, perhaps some options with brown rice too? – LHL
