A few days ago, MOFA held a ceremony marking the handover of medical equipment to #Italy, with her representative Davide Giglio accepting the donations on his country's behalf. Through our embassy in the #HolySee, and with help from Catholic organizations in #Taiwan, we sent equipment, including protective glasses, surgical visors, intubation tubes and suction kits, off to Italy, to assist front-line medical workers there.
As the epidemic continues to spread around the world, countries are gradually coming to realize that Taiwan can not only offer up a successful model to curb the virus but
is also populated by people full of love and compassion for others.

冰桶挑戰來嘍～ TRANSLATION FOLLOWS! 最近被Jenny Hsu + Odd Hackwelder 挑戰就想來點不一樣的！我想發起一個新的運動＃BeyondTheIceBucket。

當冰塊融化之後，錢也捐完了，我們還能做一些什麼事呢？想趕流行參與冰水挑戰沒有問題，但是重點是善事一定要來自於你的內心，我們大家都要做一些真的有感覺又有意義的善事。

這一年下來我因為主持“勝利催落去”很幸運地認識了很多讓我感動的個人及組織，今天我捐錢的對象包括：

（1）台東關山聖十字療養院 http://www.holycross.tw/ （因為三位外籍修女服務當地身心障礙人士的精神感動了我

（2）桃園縣腦痲協會 http://www.cpty.org.tw/home/ （因為他們很歡樂面對生活的態度很感動我，而且下禮拜我們節目就要跟Huang Hsiao-chih 泳渡日月潭！），還有

（3）台灣癌症希望基金會http://www.ecancer.org.tw/ （因為我希望我媽媽可以早日康復）。

接下來我要點名的是勝利催落去的郭導，製作人陳傳惠，及我的好搭檔林信廷！

Okay, Jenny Hsu and Odd Hackweldeer, here's my ice bucket challenge (one bucket for each of you), but I want to challenge YOU and everyone watching this video to join me in thinking #BeyondTheIceBucket.

It's great that people want to pour ice water on themselves + donate to the ALS foundation, because it's a very meaningful cause. But eventually, the ice will melt, and so will the donations. I challenge you to look for a cause in your life which has left a deep impression on you, and donate to that. You don't even have to donate, you can show other acts of kindness in other ways too.

Today I accept the ice bucket challenge, and will use the water to take a shower (so as not to waste it). As for my donation, I'm choosing three which are near and dear to my heart, two of which I met while hosting "From Hear to There." They include:

(1) the Catholic Holy Cross Hospice for the Chronically Ill in Guanshan, Taitung http://www.holycross.tw/ (because of the three foreign nuns who have selflessly spent the last 30-50 years taking care of people in great need),

(2) The Cerebral Palsy Association of Taoyuan County http://www.cpty.org.tw/home/ (because these parents face life with such infectious and incredible joy that it makes me weep, and because we’ll be swimming across Sun Moon Lake next week with a very special girl named Huang Hsiao-chih), and

(3) The Hope Foundation For Cancer Care http://www.ecancer.org.tw/ (that one’s for my mom).

I hereby challenge the Director of “From Hear to There” Yen-kung Kuo, our producer Chen Chuan-hui, and my awesome co-host Lin Hsin-ting. It’s up to you what you want to do… it can be an ice bucket and/or donations, but I encourage you to think #BeyondTheIceBucket!
