Hello,
My name is Magklin Rincones Herrera, most known as Magklin Rip. I’m 22 years old, I’m from Bogota, Colombia and I’ve been tattooing for almost four years. I started in tattooing as an apprentice at Morbida Tattoo in which I spent a year drawing and then got my chance to start as the apprentice, and after one more year or so I was already working in my spot. I’ve assisted to some tattoo conventions in Bogota and some other cities of my country like Medellin and Cali.
It’s been a year now since I got my own tattoo studio named La Vagonetta. It’s been great and my coworkers are amazing. It’s our private tattoo studio, we’ve been working really hard to get all set up and everything is growing up, and our clients are happy which is the most important. I have already had some guests in the studio and they have really enjoyed the experience, was great to share some time with new artists. I love the studio so much, and I’m really excited because now I feel like I can start travelling around the world, meeting new people, being able to invite artists to work in our studio, getting to know more studios and the most important having the chance to get involved with new cultures.
I really like geometric art and I also enjoy giving some basic graphic design touches to what I do. I’m passionate about animals and I really like combining organic and geometric forms to create abstract and most likely geometric compositions. Geometry is my life, I feel really happy to work with it. I think tattooing more than just being a beautiful artistic way of expression, also gives us the chance to become into a better human being, you have the opportunity to get in touch with so many different people with several points of view and their own way to live life every day. And also you can become in part of their story and help them out just in case; I admire much of the social part of tattooing.
I also got to say that I’m really happy to have the chance to work with you guys and meet your beautiful culture.
