Saya maafkan apek cina yang dahulu percaya “Melayu Malas”.
Apek Cina juga berterima kasih kerana bekas majikannya Mendiang Tan Sri Prof Emirates Khoo Kay Khim, yang memberinya ilham untuk memahami sudut pandang bahawa melayu tidak malas kerana tuduhan terhadap sesuatu kaum haruslah diselarikan dengan perkembangan Kebudayaan dan Agama.
Jadi bila bercerita tentang Orang Melayu di Malaysia maka anda kena faham bahawa anda berhadapan dengan bangsa yang nenek moyangnya celik agama, lalu mengubah kepercayaan turun temurun menyembah berhala kepada ajaran agama terakhir di dunia paling berpengaruh iaitu Islam.
Hingga melayu dan islam itu tidak dapat dipisahkan.
Kata Apem Cina lagi.. sepanjang kehidupan beliau, berkenalan dengan ramai sahabat Melayu. Ada yang rajin, ada yang malas, ada yang kaya, ada yang miskin, ada yang menuntut di Oxford Universiti dan pandai giler, ada yang tak masuk sekolah menengah. Semuanya Muslim, hampir semuanya sembahyang 5 kali sehari, semuanya cuba untuk mendakwah kepada beliau
Katanya, Ramai nampak Cina kaya, tapi ramai tak menyelesaikan Kenapa cina kaya, malah menganggap semua kaya Sebab pandai tipu . Untuk makluman, Cina yang kaya Sebab tipu, kekayaanya takkan lama. Ramai kaya Sebab rajin, utamakan duit, sanggup mengambil risiko ( yang gagal akan menghadapi malapetaka seperti diburu Ah Long ) .
Apa bezanya Cina dengan Melayu ?
Melayu faham erti keserdahanaan dalam agama itu bersyukur.
Tiada kehidupan mewah ? Ok je
Tiada gaji besar ? Boleh Hidup ok dah
Tak mampu melancong ke London ? Port Dickson dah Syukur !
Itulah Melayu . Dia bukan malas, cumanya dia paham erti bersyukur. Dia paham bahawa benda-benda Duniawi ini tidak dapat dibawa sampai ke Akhirat.
Seorang penganut Agama Buddha ke, Tao ke, Kristian ke, Kalau betul-betul mengamal prinsip-prinsip Agama masing - masing, maka akan jadi “ malas “ juga yang disalah anggal tentang kesyukuran.
Buddha menyuruh pelajar Dhamma untuk “ melepaskan” segala-gala yang menjadikan kami tamak, termasuk menjadikan kekayaan sebagai halatuju kehidupan.
Lao Tzu, pengarang kitab Tao De Jing , juga mendidik agar jangan mengejar kekayaan dunia.
Yesus- Kristus mewajibkan semua penganut agar melepaskan ketamakan dan sentiasa membantu mereka dalam kesusahan.
Tapi hari ini kata Apek Cina: Siapakah kami yang rajin kerja mengerjakan kekayaan, kemewahan kami untuk mengelar diri sebagai buddhist, Taoist dan Kristian ?
Sayalah yang mengengkari pengajaran Buddha. Minum arak buddha melarangkan ,berjudi adalah dilarang sesama sekali, buddha juga mengalakkan makanan vegetarian agar haiwan Jangan dibunuh kerana saya.
Ada saya ikut ? Tak
Lepastu saya pula kata Melayu Malas.
Sejak bertahun lalu, Kalau ada orang mencadangkan kepada saya bahawa orang Melayu Malas, maka saya akan menjawab sebegini :
Satu hari Lepas mati, Kau rasa keberangkalian Kau akan naik syurga kamu tinggi ke, orang Melayu masuk syurga diaorang tinggi ?
Semua diam .

【民國 齊白石 篆書阿彌陀佛】
形式：軸，95.9x32.9cm
齊白石（1864－1957），湖南湘潭人。篆書「阿彌陀佛」四大字，字形利用大量的幾何構圖來組成，強化視覺上的穩定感，濃墨與飛白穿插使用，增加線條的變化與趣味，整體感覺氣勢磅礡。本幅為林誠道先生捐贈。
【"Amitabha Buddha" in Seal Script】
Qi Baishi (1864-1957), Republican period
Qi Baishi was a native of Xiangtan in Hunan. This work in stele script features four large characters for the Chinese transliteration of "Amitabha Buddha (Amituofo)." The large number of angular elements that form the composition reinforces the visual stability of the characters. The strong contrast between the dark ink and "flying white" portions of the brushwork are also balanced throughout, further heightening the interesting and varied quality of the lines. It thus gives the scroll an overall sense of power and presence. Mr. Lin Cheng-tao donated this work to the National Palace Museum.
【民国 斉白石 篆書阿弥陀仏】
斉白石（1864－1957）、湖南湘潭（現在の湖南省湘潭市）の人。篆書で書かれた「阿弥陀仏」4文字。字形に幾何学的構図の組み合わせを多数用いて、視覚的な安定感を高めている。濃墨と飛白を交互に用いることにより、線の変化や面白味が増している。全体に気勢雄大な感がある。林誠道氏寄贈。

(Thai: รำไทย Ram thai) is the main dramatic art form of Thailand. Thai dance, like many forms of traditional Asian dance, can be divided into two major categories that correspond roughly to the high art (classical dance) and low art (folk dance) distinction
Dance of the Nantha-Peri and Pu-Che Drums • The nantha-peri is a drum characteristic of the northern region of Thailand, which is used for two purposes: to spur on warriors prior to battle and to pay homage to the Buddha in religious ceremonies. The pu-che, on the other hand, is a type of drum used by the tribes that live in the north: the Tay Yai, the Tai Lue and the Tay yan. It is used to accompany various dances including the sword dance, and the kai lai and king ka lai dances.
Sword Dance • This dance is inspired by an ancient martial art that requires tremendous courage and strength, and excellent reflexes. The dancers balance a number of swords on different parts of their bodies while fighting off their rival with a sword sheath.
Ka-Lai Dance • Beginners learn to execute graceful and balanced movements through the choreography of this dance.
King-Ka-La Dance • The hand movements and steps of the female dancers, who wear spectacular fan-shaped costumes, evoke the movements of a bird.
The Sounds of the Mountains •The music that accompanies this dance is played on wind instruments characteristic of three tribes in the North of Thailand: the pi hom (a gourd pipe) of the Tai Lue, the pi joom of the Tay Yuan and the kan nam tao (a gourd flute) of the Li Saw.
Candle Dance • Typical of the Thai Kheun tribe, this dance is performed in honor of the Buddha. The female dancers pay homage to the divinities that protect the eight cardinal points of the Earth, asking them to pass through the candlelight in homage to the Buddha.
Khan Dok Dance • The striking choreography of this dance of blessing expresses the calm, serene temperament of the northern peoples.
Choeng Tua Auk-son Dance • This dance, performed in the Buddha's honor, is characterized by a complex choreography inspired by the calligraphy of the ancient alphabets of the northern regions and by the movements used in martial arts.
The Sounds of Lanna, the Ancient Kingdom of the North • This music is played on two instruments typical of this region. The phin-phia is a stringed instrument whose body is made from a coconut shell. When he plays it, the musician rests the shell on his bare chest, then moves it or presses it to achieve the desired tonality. In the past, the phin-phia was the instrument used by youths to court the maidens of their village. Few musicians still play it. The sueng is stringed instrument, made of teak or hard wood. It is played by plucking the two metal or brass strings with a horn plectrum.
