It's 21st Nov and you are officially 10! 🎂 Woohoo!

Happy birthday, my dearest baby girl. Can I still call you that even though you are now a young lady already?

You said your birthday always falls during the school holidays and it's a good thing cos' we get to spend the whole day together and celebrate as a family. Well, I'm bringing you all to watch Frozen 2 today so that's gonna be a treat!

Thank you for always being the sensible, independent and responsible one at home. You have the best memory - you know all the 20 digits of Pi by heart, you are neat and organised - you do your own homework and pack your table and schoolbag, you are creative - I am always amazed by your handlettering and even fashion designs, you are brave and kind - you love to hold insects and would move snails from the pavement to the grass so they wouldn't get stepped on, you are a great big sister whom the younger ones look up to and you are more than what I could have ever asked for.

We still have a long road ahead of us and while it will always be a challenging one full of ups and downs, I look forward to seeing how you are going to blossom and promise to try my best to be the Mama you deserve. Yup, a decade of being a mum and I still have lots to learn but all I know is each day with you is a gift that I deeply cherish.

Happy turning the big 10, my lovely Angel.

It's a family gathering today as we celebrate the big girl turning 10! We love poolside BBQs because while the kids are happily playing in the water, the adults are just as happy to tuck into the piping hot, super yummy BBQ food.

The hubby went to Chinatown this morning with my in-laws and came back with fresh lobsters, crayfish and prawns. Woohoo! On my end, I took the kids out for lunch, bought her a chocolate cake, went shopping for Angel's gift on behalf of my parents, got some party favours for the cousins and even bought a HUGE unicorn 🦄 float which was on a mega discount and only cost us $19. Yippee!

The kids are always happy to see each other and they can come up with their own ways to play while the grandparents always have endless topics to talk about. The party started at 4pm and ended at nearly 11pm and still, these three were still reluctant to say goodbye to their cousins.

It's heartwarming seeing how the kids have enjoyed each other's company since young and I am thankful that our parents get along superbly well too. I definitely hope this can stay for decades more to come. Oh, we are all going for a 4D3N holiday together next month and I bet it's gonna be a blast.

Hope you had a great Round 2 today, my dear Angel. Remember that family is everything and we are blessed to have our loved ones with us. We will always be here to support, love and cheer for you, no matter what happens. 因为你永远都是我们的宝贝! ♥️

We had a party today for the big girl who is turning 10 in just a few days' time. Gosh, yup, double digit already! No wonder behaving like a teenager liao lor. Haha.

She may make me frustrated at times but she is also the strong-willed, independent girl that I can rely on. Yup, she makes me mad and she makes me happy, and I can only say it is still such a roller coaster ride even after a decade into this parenthood journey. Yet, on both our good and bad days, I still love her so, so much and I don't even know if she knows it so I am reminding myself to tell her "I love you" more and let her understand that this will never ever change.

Well, I guess she felt very much loved this afternoon by all of us because we invited her closest friends to celebrate with her at home. She chose a unicorn theme this year and as usual, all the games, food and activities were kept simple yet fun-filled for this cosy group of friends. They were all reluctant to go home and asked if they could stay on longer and requested for their mums and dads to pick them later than the stipulated time. So glad to know everyone enjoyed the party! Phew!
She definitely had a blast and made many fond memories from today and I saw how much she was loved by all her friends too, most notably from their handmade cards and sincere messages to her.

Well, we are gonna have a Round 2 tomorrow with the family and it's gonna be a BBQ poolside party so I'm just glad that the expert hubby is here to help out because while I might be good at games planning and DIY decor, I am definitely bad at choosing seafood and marinating meats.

Will share more about the party on the blog soon but for now, let's just take a break for tonight. Haha. Love you so much, my dearest Angel, and I always, always will.
