10月的時候美國眾議院針對FB、Google、Amazon、Apple出了一份4xx頁的反壟斷報告。而雪球的<一介庶民>大大把它翻成了中文版，時間不夠的朋友非常推薦看 第3 和 第4 part，把各家的商業模式和門檻解釋的非常非常清楚。

我其實一開始對這本很沒感覺，是看到有一段這麼寫道:「處在資訊時代的我們，從小學了很多物理原理，但對訊息理論卻所知甚微」這段話引起了我的興趣，這本依然維持吳軍一貫的風格，淺顯易懂，帶著大家走過和梳理訊息發展的脈絡，不得不欽佩吳軍博士的博學，算是一本不錯的科普書。
▋關於差異性，約翰．柏格說⋯
「不要在草堆裡找藏起來的一根針，而是要買下整個草堆。」
（原文：Don't look for the needle in the haystack. Just buy the haystack.）
這句話完整簡述了指數型基金的概念，與其花昂貴的費用請經理人從股市裡大海撈針，不如用最簡單的方法、最少的手續費，投資整個市場。
▋關於手續費，約翰．柏格說⋯
「投資市場的諷刺點在於，我們作為整個經濟體的貢獻者之一，卻沒有拿到回報，反之，我們若不付出反而能拿到回報。」
（原文：The grim irony of investing is that we investors as a group not only don't get what we pay for, we get precisely what we don't pay for.）
換句話來說，今天若拒絕付款請主動經理人操作，每省下一美元的手續費，就是你多賺了一美元。
與銷售者的宣傳語「你付出多少，就得到多少」成對比。
▋關於時機，約翰．柏格說⋯
「真正跟著進場或出場的警鈴去投資是不可能的，在50年的投資生涯裡，我從沒認識任何一個人是真的可以成功且持續地做到這件事。」
（原文：The idea that a bell rings to signal when investors should get into or out of the market is simply not credible. After nearly 50 years in this business, I do not know of anybody who has done it successfully and consistently.）
時機這件事分兩個層面：就心理層面來說，要和整個市場的大情況反向行動，對許多人來說是充滿壓力的；就實際層面來說，如果同時有太多的投資人在進場或出場，那時機這件事就不存在了。要是有這樣系統性的東西存在，差不多也會導致市場崩毀吧。
▋關於指數型基金，約翰．柏格說⋯
「指數型基金是一種明智、可行的管道，既可以花很少的手續費、又可以花很少的心力。它幫我們過濾掉了市場部門和經理人的選擇錯誤，只留下了市場風險需要承擔。」
（原文：The index fund is a sensible, serviceable method for obtaining the market's rate of return with absolutely no effort and minimal expense. Index funds eliminate the risks of individual stocks, market sectors and manager selection, leaving only stock market risk.）
約翰．柏格所提到的一點很重要：在投資市場裡，永遠存在著會給投資人帶來短期巨大損失的風險。
而要克服這一點，就是選擇能長期持有，即使虧損也能透過時間回歸均值進而獲利成長的指數型基金。
▋關於時間與耐性，約翰．柏格說⋯
「時間是你的朋友，而衝動則是你的敵人。」
（原文：Time is your friend; impulse is your enemy.）
享受時間帶來的複利作用，且要避開衝動入市的行為。
最後有一句話很全面，但同樣重要的是：「金融市場是非常複雜的，如同進行一個科學實驗般，很難找出影響市場的單一變數。
過去的紀錄中，並不足以證明可以透過某確切的標準持續地準確預測短期的價格波動。普通股的價格是轉瞬即逝與捉摸難測的。」

The record is utterly bereft of evidence that definitive predictions of short-term fluctuations in stock prices can be made with consistent accuracy.
