不過對於國際社會來說
9 月 21 日 #國際和平日 是聯合國大會在
2001年9月7日通過的決議，決定自2002年起
「國際和平日應成為 #全球停火 和 #非暴力日，並邀請所有國家和人民在這一天 #停止敵對行動。」

為世界和平盡最大努力
和平不只是口號與理想
更是維繫人類生存刻不容緩的需求
希望和平的鐘聲能響遍世界每一角落
讓戰爭轉化為永久的和平

As well as being the anniversary of the 1999 Jiji earthquake, which killed over 2,400 people in Taiwan, September 21 is also the #UnitedNations #InternationalDayOfPeace, and this year's theme is #ShapingPeaceTogether.
As the #COVID19 pandemic continues to ravage countries around the world, we are reminded that we are not each other’s enemies and must focus our efforts on eliminating the virus, which is why UN Secretary-General António Guterres called on all warring parties to lay down their arms in March of this year, in order to fight the pandemic more effectively.
The day was first established in 1981 and was officially designated as a day of #NonViolence and #CeaseFire in 2001. #Taiwan echoes the calls of the UN for the pursuit of peace, while upholding the values of #democracy, #freedom and #HumanRights for all shoulder to shoulder with our #LikeMindedPartners.
