Sasha Sloan 出生於 1995 年 3 月 11 號的波士頓，全家都是俄羅斯後裔，Sasha 說到自己的名字由來就是本名 Alexender 在俄羅斯小名就叫 Sasha，Sloan 只是因為她以前用她的俄羅斯姓發了很多作品，不想被別人翻出來，所以出道後就改了一個名字
Sasha 從小生活在一個不太開心的童年裡，在 Older 這首歌中，就是在寫 Sasha 小時候父母親吵架的情形，而年幼的 Sasha 一直以為感情是簡單的，直到長大後和男友分手，才知道原來感情如此複雜及痛苦，因此寫下這首歌來描述自己對感情的看法，在歌詞的第二句唱到，我選擇轉向音樂試圖不要聽到外面的吵架聲，這和 Sasha 在採訪中說到的完全一樣，Sasha 從大概五歲開始自學鋼琴，10 歲寫下第一首歌 Pitter Patter，她說她小時候很討厭回家，因為父母親總是在吵架，然而她的媽媽想到一個可以讓她回家的方式，就是研究音樂軟體 Garageband 然後教 Sasha 怎麼錄音，Sasha 從那之後，每天都很期待放學後回到家裡錄下自己的音樂，不過最終，父母親還是離婚了，而 Sasha 也跟著母親再婚...
