Here's something I've seen before but never got to try it till the internship at ASP with @benperformancecoach.

This is an advanced training technique to help destroy plateaus which you probably won't see unless you are working with a good strength coach.
.
Heres the Set up.
1. With isometronics you place two pins in rack bout 4 to 6 inches apart to limit full ROM.
.
2. Weight is dependent on what the program calls for in terms of reps and tempo.
.
3. Here we pre fatigue the muscle with 3 reps then the last you do an lift like as if I'm going to pull the bar right off the pins for bout 10 seconds. Rest then go again. I did my final lift at 65kg. Felt like I could've gone more but for any workout test with lighter weight.

This is a type of training which is extremely taxing on your central nervous system = you will shake and your brain will get a bit foggy after the session cause you shock your CNS.

It's good if you know when and how to do it, which depends too on your fitness level, workout and CNS. Its not meant for beginners or for typical training 5 days a week protocol. Very interesting concept, get a coach who knows how to implement if you are curious like the peeps here at @trainasp. 😉
