The Buka Puasa Event in the Church is cancelled.
Someone made a police report and two police (1 Muslim and 1 Christians) went to the church nicely and explain that tonight there might be an individual or group who would cause trouble. Having weighing all options, the church decide to cancel the event. All in good faith.
Due to the food has been ordered, the church would love if all that has RSVP to come and collect the food from 5pm onwards, they woukd also like to offer the praying matt as a gift.
From the organiser:
" Msgr.Mitchel said , our Muslim friends are welcome to eat in our compound but we are so sorry we can't open the hall. I will prepare some small tables outside the hall."
This is just incase some do not have the time or place to bukak puasa. How sweeet.
To me, I think it's a success. We discussed and are very happy with the decision made. At least they tried. No one wants any trouble.
To those who RSVP or not, do come by the church to smile and say Good Job! They really tried and I believe that they do deserve a pat at the back for their efforts. I am proud of thrm for being cordial on this. But please do come over and smile, just like me.
And you know what, after raya, why not we all get together for teh tarik. It's outside the church. On me.
