#FridayFitBites I wanna share on why i make the conscious effort to eat well. Some of my friends / colleagues will ask like, why do i not take carbs in my food after my comp like rice or bread. Can’t i be more relaxed and not so strict with my food? Actually I still have carbs - in the form of veggies :) but the reason I choose to do so, cause that is my lifestyle now. I DON’T take that much carbs because I’ve learnt a few things from my coach @benperformancecoach
1. MY body type which is a mesomorph, doesn’t handle carbs that well especially cause i’m not like crazy crazy lean.
2. Learning I have, PCOS has caused me to be insulin resistant , meaning again body can’t handle carbs so well. But as long as i manage my carbs well, i won’t have those irregular periods as much - which is a pain in the ass!
With that in mind, thats why I make a the choice to not have a lot of carbs in my nutrition plan regularly, cause why introduce something which my body is not going to benefit from. I can have whatever carbs I want during my refeed / cheatmeal. When I refeed, i don’t feel guilty, cause my refeed has a purpose, which is to shock my system. Ok end of today’s share :) Point is to be mindful with that food you put in your body. It’s not about being a prude, it’s about being smarter for yourself in the long run.
