Taking Revenge Won’t Satisfy your Soul

“Don’t say, “I will pay back evil.” Wait for Yahweh, and he will save you.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭20:22‬ ‭WEB‬‬

Notice how the second sentence in the verse above doesn’t really respond to the first.

In the first sentence, the person’s desire is to take revenge against the evildoer.
However, in the second sentence, the godly advice totally disregards vengeance, and instead focuses on the victim’s salvation from evil.

There is a lesson here! God’s priority is your safety. His heart is for you to be protected from evil and to be well.

Vengeance isn’t going to make you happy and satisfied. There is no fulfillment found in the destruction of a person.

In the future, Jesus has a Day of Vengeance. It is more popularly known as “the Second Coming of Christ”. He will slay the Antichrist and his wicked armies to save Israel from their hands. But Jesus takes no pleasure in the destruction of the wicked. What God loves is to deal graciously with man.

If the person who is persecuting you suddenly dies, you may feel relief and a certain sense of victory that God has punished your enemy, but it will revert to emptiness shortly after.

Your life still has to go on. Your enemy might be gone, but you are still here. If your only purpose in life was to take revenge, then you have become an empty shell, just drifting aimlessly. That’s why a life spent pursuing vengeance is not worthwhile.

It is better to embrace the godly dreams and goals in your heart, and use your gifts to build up the body of Christ. That’s a life worth living.

I heard someone say that the best vengeance is for you to live your life so well and happily that it infuriates your enemies. I find that so true.

Take no thought of your persecutors, but fill your mind with God and Jesus. God’s priority is to save you from their evil schemes. Expect and confess His deliverance, and while you’re waiting for it, rejoice because you’re in Christ!

Nothing angers your haters more than seeing you happy while they are hopelessly miserable.

“Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.” Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Romans‬ ‭12:20-21‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

If you want to take it one step further, be so nice to those who are evil to you. Extend lavish grace to them for Jesus’ sake. It will either make them even angrier, or you may even melt their stony hearts and turn them into your friends.

Remember: God’s priority is your safety and wellbeing. He takes no pleasure in executing vengeance. Expect Him to save you from evil, so that you can focus on living undeterred for His glory!

When I married my wife, I got a package of 4 children. Thank God. Which 2 of the 4 is a little special. Both aspergers. Another ADD another ADHD. It's most challenging to know it's okay? These kids before my presence, they are being pampered right. Pretty spoiled! All want, got it. Can't be told, must cry and snap. 3 men, a woman. At that time the eldest was 14 years old. The second 12 years old. Third 9 years old. Fourth of 6 years old girl.

First time entering the family, I've had a meeting done. With gangster style, long hair braids. I'm doing a LIVE FB meeting with children. In the meeting, I just entered the family, so follow my rules. I don't follow their rules.

At the beginning, many people who are nearest have started tripping and spreading stories, not saying that I will hit the kids. The swing bowl is right who reads people from this person's use.

Remember the early marriage, my wife always reminds me of me. If these kids promise anything they need to be fulfilled, they will cry badly and scream. Hard to persuade. Sometimes I want to break my breath and cry. The other one is ADHD if he cries, he can't be angry, he has to say it carefully. Because later he will be raging and coming hyper. My Road To Elite series is a series of videos chronicling my rise and fall through the ranks of the online Smash Ultimate gaming-world. I am not a pro, nor am I overly passionate about the game. If you had to label me, I guess the general term is a "casual," although I do not like that term. It kind of has a pejorative tint to it. I used to consider the Smash-series to be my favorite series of videogames until Smash 4 came out and massively disappointed me. I think, however, that this game -- Smash 5, is massively better than Smash 4, and so I am enjoying playing this game.

My goal for this series isn't to get to Elite by any means necessary, or as quickly as possible. My goal is to have fun, learn the game, and share my joy and despair to the world. BEN Simmons sizzled as the 76ers turned the tables on Houston to record their third win of the season on Tuesday (AEDT).

The Australian recorded a new career-high with 24 points, leading his team to a 115-107 win over the Rockets on the road.

Simmons caught fire from the field in the first half.

With his jump shot on full display, the 21-year-old landed three buckets from more than 15-feet.

As impressive as his jump shot looked, Simmons also showed he has a lot of growth still in him in his rookie season, blowing a chance to reach the 30-point mark for the first time in his career.

Simmons jump shot appears to be improving, but his struggles from the foul-line continued against the Rockets, where he slotted just four from nine. He converted just once from four attempts in the final two minutes when the Rockets were still a chance of pulling off a late comeback.

Despite his troubles from the charity stripe, another super impressive stat-line — in just his seventh NBA game — has seen Simmons hyped for a potential All Star game appearance this season.

He finished with 24 points, seven rebounds and nine assists, while towering teammate Joel Embiid finished with 22 points, nine rebounds and five assists.

Simmons was humble after the game in sharing the plaudits for the team’s revenge over Houston.

“I think we did a much better job (on the defensive end),” Simmons said after the game.

“Even in an away game. In their home. It’s tough. But we got it done.”
