1984年首度舉行的MTV award, 在現場同步實況轉播中, Modonna以個人驚世駭俗的形象震撼了世界, 當時她原先在經紀人的安排下預訂演唱Lucky Star, 這首仍在排行榜上的曲子顯然會是那時尚未家喻戶曉的Modonna比較合適演出的曲目, 不然台下一片冷場就尷尬了, 結果她大姊穿了一襲新娘婚紗, 帶著Boy Toy的腰帶登台大唱歌詞淫穢的Like a Virgin(這是這位歌壇大姐大的第一首冠軍單曲, 中譯為宛如處女), Modonna穿者那襲白紗在舞台滾來滾去, 主持人Bette Midler那個當下只能尷尬擠出幾句話, 說Modonna是不是Like a Virgin應該不需要討論了
很多媒體都將這個選為流行音樂史上最距代表性的幾個Moment, 以現在的標準來看也依舊很搶鏡

誰もが聞いたことがあるであろう名曲「The Rose」をカバーしました。
この曲の良いところはなんと言っても歌詞だと思います。人の弱さを歌いながらも前向きにさせてくれて、それが単純だけれども胸に響くメロディーに乗って、その歌詞の良さを倍増させて胸に響く、そんな曲です。
レンジが狭く、いつものように「歌い上げる」というよりかは「丁寧に歌うこと」を意識しながらカバーしました。是非聞いてください。
