[The Freedom Song and June 4th Performance]
Boyz Reborn will take the stage on Sunday in Victoria Park for CANDLELIGHT VIGIL FOR THE 28TH ANNIVERSARY OF JUNE 4. The Freedom Song “自由之歌” is written to pay tribute to the victims of the June 4 incident and to remind the HK people, particularly the younger generation, about the spirit behind the movement. The band believes that younger generation of Hong Kong is facing similar situation with the Beijing students 28 years ago. Though we live in a different time, the desire for freedom, justice and equality is no different.

[About Boyz Reborn]
Boyz Reborn is a Hong Kong local teenage boy band that is consisted of 9 members aged 17. The mission of the group is to produce original music to empower the youth of HK and to influence the city. Since 2011, they have released over 50 original songs online and reached over 3.2 million views on their YouTube channel. They are active performers in different occasions, and they succeed to attract a thousand of audiences attending their annual concert every year.

The name of Boyz Reborn is inspired by a saying in HK, “this city is dying.” While the people are going through hardship and desperation, the band is determined to bring hope to the city by producing songs with diversified theme in contemporary style. Boyz Reborn is best known for their work of writing lyrics and singing from a local youth perspective. The theme of their music covers youth-related subjects, such as dreams, personal growth and struggles.

Another highlight of their music is the social and political related composition. Songs like “Tear Gas”, “Time Calling”, “The Freedom Song” are protest music promoting the ideas of freedom, democracy and equality. Other songs like “Studying Machine”, “I love School” and “5**” were music written to criticize the problematic education system of Hong Kong. They intended to breakthrough HK traditional music style, which is mostly ballads about romantic relationship, and to integrate social elements in their music.

表演类型：音乐表演分享会。《鼓歌》以鼓乐节奏为歌曲的主轴并包含独特的吟唱方式。当中的某些歌曲的创作也结合了童谣，诗歌等文字。除此之外，当中一些歌曲也将会以肢体表演呈现。
概念简介：
《鼓歌》是一系列以鼓与人声为出发点的创作歌曲。
鼓虽有变化无穷的节奏感，可是它的声音极为单纯；
人的声音虽能制造变化无穷的旋律，但我们只专注于寻找它单纯的感染力。
利用鼓声与人声的纯粹引领观众简单地听，简单地看，简单地欣赏。
在飞速成长的城市，与渐渐复杂化的群体活动中，人人人鼓剧场希望以鼓歌游出去，寻找另一种存在的节奏以及人与人之间的关系。

La 'GU' Walk Drum Performance
Performance Genre: Performance art and music sharing. The “Drum Song” series uses drum rhythms as the main element as well as its unique vocal expressions. Some of the compositions were inspired by nursery rhymes, poems and others forms of literatures, while others were expressed and interpreted by body movements.
Introduction:
The concept of "Drum Song" is through using drumming rhythms and vocals as the main elements in order to create a series of original compositions.
Drum is purely sound, however the variations of drumming rhythms are limitless;
Human vocals create unlimited melodies, but our intention is to focus on its charm to infect others.
Through the combinations of drumming and vocals, we aim to provide a mere enjoyment of visual and auditory experiences to the audience.
By that, we hope to seek our existence in the rapid growing concrete jungle webbed by complicated social connections through the singing of our drum songs.

Betty Apple 鄭宜蘋
1986年生於台灣嘉義，現於台北創作。身上流著聲音藝術家與電子樂創作者的新數位混種基因。受臥室電子樂與次文化影響甚深，往來舞曲與噪音之間毫無阻礙。台北藝術大學戲劇系主修表演，2008年畢業後開始使用個人電腦創作臥房電子樂，2010年進入台北藝術大學新媒體藝術研究所研究媒體藝術；作品內容多半為聲音與行為表演的現場藝術，探究身體操作聲音的新形態,擅長利用自身的身體語彙提出身體政治的精神意識形態。嘗試讓次文化精神與藝術思維混種的實驗。

曾跨界參與聲音藝術，電子樂表演，劇場音樂設計。為2012年電子樂推廣團體「耕聲人」主辦人之一，於當年九月促成台灣第一張以臥室電子樂反核人共同發起的「i love nuclear」的反核電音合輯，為台灣新生代聲音藝術搖籃的「失聲祭」2013年駐祭藝術家。更被國際前衛藝術雜誌「white fungus」多次邀請，與國際知名電子聲響藝術家Merzbow、EVOL、Zbigniew Karkowski、Scott Afford、王福瑞、Samin Son同台演出。

Betty Apple is a composer, DJ, and sound and performance artist. Apple has made an impact in Taipei with visceral noise/performance art pieces using synthesizers, field recordings and amplified vibrators. In 2013, Apple was the artist in residence at Lacking Sound Festival. In addition to her own performances, she curated a series of events exploring notions of sound in relation to femininity. Apple is at the forefront of a new wave of Taiwanese artists who are beginning to fuse their work with political activism. The anti-nuclear movement has grown exponentially in Taiwan over the past few years, in particular, since the meltdown at Fukushima, and Apple is among those who have organized events and produced music to support it.

理化兄弟 Physical Chemical Brother
獨立音樂圈版本：
電子皮、搖滾骨、數位魂 - 當8-BIT(8位元音樂)從遊戲中獨立出來，這已經不只是獨立音樂，更是獨立電子 - 翻玩古早任天堂電玩影像以及音樂的理化兄弟，將場景轉移到舞廳，創作風格橫跨Electro,Techno,Drum and bass，甚至到Dubstepush buttons。

狹義藝術圈版本：
當年差點組樂隊的無名氏兄弟，始終遙遙無期，於失散多年後在一場奇異的廟會相遇，各自吞了一顆濟公搓揉的腋下仙丹，各自幻化成DJ與VJ，理化兄弟於是誕生。目前的團員編制為創作型DJ ：林昭宇 與半創作型VJ：黃真。目前有點專注於研究 8-bit 樂音，也稱為chiptune或是 Gameboy music。我們試圖運用現代科技來翻玩並探討當時曾經是頂風的影音技術，場域則從個人電玩機台到派對，再轉換進入表演空間進行與不同觀眾的對話。

漂流出口 Outlet Drift
三位台東阿美族青年是來自比西里岸部落的碧海兄妹與都蘭部落的林肯。自父母親那一代許多族人為了生存來到了城市打拼，在文明社會的環境成長之下我們早已習慣了現代音樂與前衛音樂。因為興趣結識下我們一起玩音樂，模仿過很多影響自己的偉大藝術家。

對於環境和原住民族群的生活感受之下，尋找著自我的價值；不斷的徬徨、自省、振奮、墮落之下，對喜歡文學的巫尚，初期創作理念甚至出於唐代落魄詩人詩集。像是一句「冠蓋滿京華，斯人獨憔悴」的現象：雖然到我長大才認同自己的身分，但也很慶幸的回到家鄉看到了原住民本身非常特別的文化與音樂，也知道用我的感受來創造音樂的衝擊力。

發展出堅定的鼓聲，跳躍的低音，迷幻的吉他音效，現場像來到陰森的山林，雲霧繚繞，一位小男孩往前跑，在森林裡吶喊。這是朝著結合台灣原住民傳統小調，噪音民謠實驗樂隊，漂流出口。

Three aboriginal Taiwanese youths from Taitung jam together in the big city, united by their shared love of modern and avant-garde music.

Once lost in the value of life under influence of environment and being in a part of aboriginal groups, he’s finally found his identity in his culture through music and hoping to make an impact with his emotions through music.

Firm drums, bouncing bass and psychedelic guitar sound as if a little boy running and screaming in a creepy, foggy woods. This is a band blending traditional aboriginal Taiwanese tunes with experimental noises.

Vice City
2009年開始舉辦派對，2010年起陸續與友人成立太初有舞、耕聲人、電音反核陣線等電子音樂文化推廣組織。

Vice City特別喜愛同時具有寬廣時間感、空間感，加上豐富身體感的音樂，有點像冥想、瑜珈，能夠帶來解放與覺知的神奇能量。

喜歡結合看似相互衝突的音樂元素，諸如大自然聲響、傳統部落樂器與吟唱、現代工業城市等都是她的靈感與採樣來源。

Vice City loves music that has broad sense of time and space, and rich physical sense that can bring liberation and magical energy of awareness that often comes with meditation or yoga. Any elements that seem conflicted such as natural sounds, traditional tribal music instruments and singing and modern industrial city are her sources of inspiration.

VJ Carl Westman
長期旅居台灣的南非籍藝術家Carl Westman，創作遍及繪畫、平面設計、VJ影像、電子舞曲、噪音等形式，他的音樂就如同其視覺作品，在幾何線條與大量交疊的色彩中，既繁複又簡單，充滿了一股迷幻中帶著深邃黑暗的氛圍，反映他對生命、宇宙之意義與可能性的探索。

Long term resident of Taiwan, South African artist Carl Westman's type of creation includes painting, graphic design, VJ, electronic music and noise. Similar to his visual work by overlapping geometric shapes and colors, his music is both complex and simple in a deep and dark psychedelic atmosphere, reflecting his exploration in the meaning of life and universe.

SENZA A Cappella

SENZA A Cappella is an a cappella group from Hong Kong Baptist University established in September 2009. The name 'senza' is an Italian word meaning 'without', which coincides with its unique a cappella singing style where songs are performed without musical instruments.

The ensemble comprises students from various disciplines in school. Active both on and off campus, it aims to promote a cappella culture to the Hong Kong society, through performing a rich repertoire from classical pieces to songs from Broadway, jazz and Canton-pop.

SENZA A Cappella made its debut appearance in November 2009 in the 3rd anniversary concert staged by The Contemporary A Cappella society of Hong Kong. It continues to perform in other public events, including the 5 evening Season Of Love concerts in 1881 Heritage, Tsim Sha Shui, and as the guest performers in The Chinese University of Hong Kong -- Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Community College's singing contest, as well as in ICAC I-Generation Farewell Party.

In March 2010, SENZA A Cappella attended the masterclass coached by Angelina Choo, the founder of Singapore's A Cappella Society, in the University of Macau. The next day it costarred with other a cappella groups in a joint-places concert in the University of Macau, starring FindaVox from Shanghai, Oops from Taiwan and UM Singers from Macau.

Senza has just won their Championship in Hong Kong Baptist University Joint-Society Singing Contest in April, 2011. In the same period, they represent Hong Kong Baptist University to compete in the "Inter College Singing Competition 2011" and Senza has won their first group championship in this Joint University Competition. At the same time, they also won the "Best Choreograph Award" in this competition.

In 2012, Senza was invited to perform with Kay Tse in "Kay Tse Concert 2012", first time singing on the stage of dream - Hong Kong Coliseum. In the same year, Senza was invited to perform in the Hong Kong 2012 International A Cappella Festival - Alfresco A Cappella.

無伴奏合唱組合 - SENZA A Cappella

SENZA A Cappella　是香港浸會大學於二○○九年成立的無伴奏合唱組合。「Senza」一字本為意大利文，解作「沒有」，跟組合「沒有伴奏」的風格相符。

以浸會大學為基地的 SENZA A Cappella 於2009年11月首次亮相，所有成員都是來自浸會大學的不同學系。組合在學園內外皆十分活躍，短短2年間已有多次演出經驗，並獲得好評。他們旨在以不同類型的樂曲（包括來自古典樂，音樂劇，流行曲，爵士樂等）向社會推廣無伴奏合唱。

組合曾獲邀分別參加了由新加坡無伴奏合唱組織創辦人Angelina Choo指導和著名組合Key Elements成員Vaughan Tan先生所指導的大師班，被喻為"a group of talented young singers!"。SENZA更獲邀於澳門舉行的跨地域音樂會中演出。

組合於同年5月份，獲邀前往海南島演出，同台藝人有謝安琪、張雨綺和張靜初等。SENZA更有幸能與謝安琪合唱《囍帖街》的無伴奏合唱版本。同年，SENZA獲邀於"抱抱低碳生活音樂會"中再度與謝安琪合唱。

組合更於2010年9月12日舉行了他們的首場周年音樂會，並於2011年在浸會大學的聯系歌唱比賽中得到冠軍。同年，SENZA代表浸會大學以自己改編的《約定》參加《大專聯校歌唱比賽2011》，獲得合唱組別的冠軍以及最具台風獎，廣獲一致好評。

組合獲邀於2011年11月舉行的亞洲無伴奏音樂節2011中擔任演出嘉賓，更與C All Star同台合唱。SENZA更在2012年1月首度踏上紅磡體育館舞台，於《謝安琪你們的幸福演唱會2012》中演出。SENZA更將會於人2012國際無伴奏音樂節中的無伴奏音樂會中演出。

組合獲邀於2011年11月舉行的亞洲無伴奏音樂節2011中擔任演出嘉賓，更與C All Star同台合唱。SENZA更在2012年1月首度踏上紅磡體育館舞台，於《謝安琪你們的幸福演唱會2012》中演出。SENZA更將會於人2012國際無伴奏音樂節中的無伴奏音樂會中演出。

SENZA將不斷提升其演出水平，希望在來年和以後的日子為大家帶來更多好聽的音樂。
