Naked Cake is perfect one for baking with kids. Easy-peasy, but looks gorgeous! Our 4-yo son and I baked a naked cake with cream and berries for daddy's birthday!

Birthday cake with cream and berries
Original recipe by Nordic Bakery Cookbook (see the link below)
(We arranged a bit from original recipe. Use 3 eggs for a 18cm tin. Measure other ingredient with glasses like in the video. If you use normal flour, you can put extra baking powder. We use orange juice + maple syrup, instead apple juice. Baking time can vary depends on tins size. 18cm➡︎25~30min)
2 loose-bottomed cake tins.
26 cm in diameter, greased
Serves 8-10
Cake
4 eggs, at room temperature
225g caster sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
170g self-rising flour
Filling
500 ml whipping cream
Vanilla sugar or icing sugar to taste and for dusting (optional)
300ml apple juice
your choice of fruit (e.g. strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, sliced bananas, chopped kiwi fruit, tinned pineapple pieces)
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) Gas 6.
Put the eggs and sugar in a large mixing bowl and whisk with a handheld electric whisk until the mixture is foam-like – this will take unt 10 minutes. When it is ready, it will be almost white, have doubled in size and the batter will drop off the beaters in a figure-of-eight when you lift them out of the bowl.
In a separate bowl, sift the baking powder and flour together, then fold into the egg mixture as gently and briefly as possible – do not overwork the mixture otherwise it will lose its fluffiness.
Divide the mixture between the prepared cake tins. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, until the cakes are golden brown and a skewer inserted into the centre of each comes out clean. Leave to cool while you make the filling.
Whip the cream until soft peaks form. Add vanilla sugar or icing sugar to taste, if you like.
Remove the cooled cakes from their tins. Cut each one horizontally through the middle to make two equal layers. Lay one layer on a cake stand. Sprinkle one-quarter of the apple juice evenly over the cake layer to moisten it. Spread one-quarter of the whipped cream over it, followed by one-quarter of your choice of fruit. Repeat this process four times, finishing with a decorative assortment of fruit on top. Dust lightly with vanilla sugar or icing sugar and serve.

高麗菜 1/4 小顆
紫高麗菜 1 小塊
炒洋蔥&胡蘿蔔 ~2 Tbsp

煮熟花豆 ~2 Tbsp
# 花生沙拉醬
蒜頭 1 – 2 瓣, 切碎
薑, 切碎 1/2 tsp
醬油 1 - 2 tsp
楓糖漿 1.5 Tbs
米醋 2 tsp
白芝麻油 1/4 tsp

#亂煮的蕃茄湯 (食材抓大概)
洋蔥 半顆
蒜頭 3 大瓣
紅蘿蔔 1 小條
芹菜 2 支
鹽 適量
蕃茄 2 大顆
高麗菜 1小把
水 適量
月桂葉 2 片
黑胡椒粉 少許
作法:用中火熱油鍋,把洋蔥和蒜頭炒香,再加入紅蘿蔔丁、芹菜丁、鹽拌炒 1 - 2 分鐘,再放入切塊蕃茄拌炒,最後放入高麗菜、水、月桂葉、黑胡椒粉,煮滾後加蓋小火煮約 20 分鐘。

1 Tbsp warm water

星形の可愛いパイナップルを使ったアップサイドダウンケーキです。このケーキ、たっぷり卵が入っていからなのかな?なんか懐かしいお味です。材料をぐるぐる混ぜていくだけなので作り方も簡単。家族の気軽なティータイムに是非どうぞ。シンプルだけど家族が大好きなケーキです。
This upside down cake uses adorable star-shaped pineapples. This cake has a slightly nostalgic flavor to it, perhaps due to having plenty of eggs in it. All you have to do is thoroughly mix the ingredients, so it's also extremely easy to make. This cake is perfect for a relaxing tea-time with family. Though it's very simple, my family loves this cake!
*レシピ*(18センチの丸型1つ分)
1.薄力粉 200gはふるっておく。
2.型に分量外のバターを塗り、粉をはたいて準備しておく。
3.2にザラメ 30gを敷き詰める。
4.3の上に缶詰のパイナップル(100gほど)を敷き詰める。
5.4の残りのパイナップル(170gほど)の汁を切り細かく刻む。
6.ボウルに殻を外した状態で300gの卵を溶きほぐす。
7.6に砂糖 200gを2〜3回に分けて入れ混ぜる。砂糖はほぐしながら入れると混ざりやすいです。
8.7に1を入れできるだけ こねないように混ぜる。
9.8に5を入れ混ぜる。
10.9に溶かし無塩バター 100gを入れ混ぜる。
11.4に10を静かに流し入れる。
12.180度に予熱したオーブンで55分焼く。(途中、焦げて来るので30分したらアルミ箔をかぶせました)
13.焼きあがったら上下をひっくり返して冷ます。
14.いただく。
*Recipe* (fills one 18cm round cake pan)
1. Sift 200g of cake flour.
2. Spread an appropriate amount of butter in the pan and dust with flour.
3. Spread 30g of granulated sugar over 2.
4. Spread canned pineapple (roughly 100g) on top of 3.
5. Drain the liquid from the leftover pineapple from 4 (roughly 170g) and chop it up finely.
6. Beat 300g of eggs (without the shell) inside a bowl.
7. Add 200g of sugar, spread into 2-3 portions, to 6. Sprinkling in the sugar will make it easier to mix in.
8. Add 1 to 7 and mix it without kneading it as much as possible.
9. Add 5 to 8 and mix.
10. Add 100g of melted unsalted butter to 9 and mix.
11. Gently pour 10 into 4.
12. Bake for 55 minutes in an oven pre-heated to 180 degrees. (It started to burn partway through, so I covered it with aluminum foil after 30 minutes)
13. Once it's finished baking, invert it and chill. (Upside down!)
14. Enjoy!
