1. Most
- Most nghĩa hầu hết, nó vừa là đại từ, vừa là tính từ tính từ.
E.g: Most people like watching TV.
- Most có thể là trạng từ, có cách dùng tương tự “very” với công thức Most + Adj
E.g:
It was most kind of you.
2. Most of:
Most of cũng có nghĩa là hầu hết. Tuy nhiên most of cần mạo từ hoặc sở hữu cách trước danh từu theo sau, hoặc đi trực tiếp với tân ngữ.
Công thức chung: Most + of + Mạo từ/sở hữu cách + N
Ví dụ:
Most of my friends live abroad.
3.The most: dùng ở So sánh nhất =...nhất
Eg:
Who has the most money in the world?
Who is the most beautiful and sexiest woman in the
world?
- Công thức 1: The most + N
After the race he won the most money.
- Ct 2: The most + adj/adv dài
Spring is the most colourful time of year.
4. Mostly mang nghĩa chủ yếu, hầu hết. Theo say Mostly là Danh từ.
Ví dụ:
They eat local food mostly.
We receive a lot of visitors, mostly Americans.
5. Almost
Almost (hầu hết, gần như) là một Adverb (trạng từ), nghĩa là nó sẽ bổ nghĩa cho động từ, tính từ hoặc một trạng từ khác.
Almost thường đi với: Anybody, anything, no one, nobody, all, everybody, every.
➥ Ex:
Almost all Japanese (people) eat rice.
* Không dùng: Almost students, Almost people phải dùng Most.
