今天要介紹一支足球隊，以及好幾個與他們有關的故事。

故事的主角是 1. FC Union Berlin（翻譯為：「柏林聯盟第一足球俱樂部」，簡稱柏林聯）。這是一支位於德國柏林（舊東德區域）的足球隊，從2019年8月開始的德甲新賽季，是柏林聯從1966年建隊後，53年以來，第一個在德國甲級聯賽比賽的賽季（註1）。
關於柏林聯的歷史，可能要分成兩部分來看，前半部分來自兩德統一前、還分成東西德的年代，後半部則是兩德統一後至今年為止的30年。

在東德的年代，當時的足球聯賽中，柏林聯所扮演的角色是抵抗由秘密警察（Stasi）支持的 Dynamo Berlin隊。雖然因為同在柏林的關係，似乎成為了具有話題性的「同城德比」，但在那個年代，有著官方色彩的Dynamo Berlin曾經在1978至1988年奪下聯賽十連冠，相較之下，柏林聯沒有拿過什麼榮譽或冠軍，真要說的話大概就是「每次都被主角擊敗的礙眼配角敵人」的角色吧。但或許是在這種與恐怖權威對抗的氣氛下，柏林聯養出了一批極為死忠且向心力很強的球迷。

在兩德統一後，柏林聯的足球表現還是一貫地不算特別出色，最高層級只達到德乙聯賽，其中在2004年時球隊遇到財務危機，差點無法註冊參加第四級別的地區聯賽，柏林聯的球迷們發起了「Bleed for Union」活動，也就是「賣血救球隊」，球迷們拿著捐血、賣血換來的錢，資助球隊度過財務難關。

另一次「靠球迷」的事件則是在2008年，超過2000名柏林聯的支持者義務幫忙，貢獻了總計140,000小時的工時，協助柏林聯隊翻修他們的主場「老森林人宅邊球場」。

隨著度過財務危機，又有了新的球場，柏林聯從2009年開始也在德乙聯賽站穩腳步，終於在今年5月（上個賽季）確定拿下德乙聯賽的第三名，並且在附加賽中擊敗了上季德甲倒數第三的斯圖加特，成功搶下升級門票，升級到德國甲級聯賽。

2019年8月18日，在新球季柏林聯的第一場比賽，也就是球隊歷史上第一場德甲的比賽，對上的是另一支來自東德地區，但靠著跨國集團（紅牛公司，Red Bull GmbH）的資力，已經成為德國足球強權的萊比錫紅牛隊。

這場比賽官方宣佈的上座人數為22,467，事實上老森林人宅邊球場只有22,012個座位，多出來的455人不是超賣門票，而是由柏林聯隊球迷組織發起的活動「終於等到了（”Endlich dabei”）」,在這場比賽吹響哨音後，柏林聯的球迷們紛紛舉起他們已逝的親友的肖像（見本文影片），那些都是在世時期待終有一天能看見柏林聯踢進德甲聯賽，卻沒能等到那一天的死忠球迷。為了紀念、感謝這些球迷長久以來的支持，這一天的上座人數就加上了這455名已逝的球迷。

這天的比賽最終，柏林聯沒能上演奇蹟，在主場以0:4輸給了萊比錫紅牛隊。雖然在上週末的德甲第二輪聯賽，柏林聯逼平了奧格斯堡隊，拿下了歷史性的第一分積分，但一般的預測及賭盤賠率都認為，柏林聯實力羸弱，這個賽季能夠保住德甲席次、不要降級回去德乙，就萬幸了。

柏林聯的開季賽程並不容易，昨晚的德甲第三輪比賽，柏林聯在主場迎戰多特蒙德（Borussia Dortmund）隊。多特蒙德是長期以來德甲公認唯一能跟拜仁慕尼黑匹敵的另一個巨頭，本賽季多特蒙德花了超過一億歐元補強球員（淨投入約五千萬），許多人都認為多特蒙德很有機會在今年贏過德甲聯賽七連霸的拜仁慕尼黑隊，因為多特蒙德今年的陣容是最完整的，而拜仁則是陣容仍在換血中。多特在前兩輪的比賽也不負眾望，兩場就攻進8球，取得二連勝。

相較之下，整隊柏林聯的球員加起來身價不過才三千多萬歐元，連多特的零頭都比不上（多特全隊身價為6.42億歐元）。在賽前可以看到各方預測裡面最「譁眾取寵」的版本，大概是預估柏林聯有機會「小輸一球」吧。應該沒有人會覺得柏林聯有機會拿下勝利，要知道，柏林聯並不是那種挾著高昂氣勢升級到甲級聯賽要大幹一番的「借殼上市」球隊，他們不過就是一支終於踢進甲級聯賽的老牌次級球隊罷了。

沒想到最終的結果是，柏林聯在整場爆滿的球迷熱烈地吶喊助威下，在主場以3:1擊敗多特蒙德，堂堂正正地，打敗放眼全歐洲也算是個強權的多特蒙德，拿下俱樂部史上德甲的第一勝。
從數據來看，兩隊都射門12次，柏林聯射正5次、多特4次，也是不相上下。最終柏林聯進了三球，多特只進了一球。看了highlighs及一些評論，柏林聯不像一般剛升級的球隊遇到強隊都是死守為主，他們完全跟多特踢對攻戰，進的三球也都非常漂亮，毫無僥倖。

看著賽後主場球迷們歡聲雷動，一點也不想離開球場的樣子，實在是沒有比這個更美妙動人的故事了（當然，因為我是拜仁迷，看多特輸球更是美妙）。

註1：德國的足球聯賽基本上可以分成六個等級，最上層的德甲、德乙、德丙是職業聯賽，在其之下的則是半職業/業餘的地區聯賽，上下級的聯賽之間有固定的升降名額，比方說每個球季德甲戰績最差的兩名會直接降級至德乙，而德乙戰績最好的兩名會升級至德甲，德甲倒數第三跟德乙第三名則會比兩場比賽（附加賽）決定是否升降級。

Timo Werner has completed a permanent transfer to RB Leipzig, returning to
Germany after two seasons with Chelsea.

The forward is heading back to the club where he enjoyed four successful
years before moving to west London, departing Stamford Bridge for his
homeland as a European and world champion.

The Champions League triumph in Porto represents the highlight of his time
with the Blues and he played his part in our success during his first
season in England. Nobody matched his tallies of 12 goals or 15 assists in
all competitions, while only Mason Mount made more appearances for Chelsea
in 2020/21.

Werner's first goal for the club arrived in his fourth game – a sharp
turn and finish against London rivals Tottenham – starting a run of eight
goals in nine games, including four across two big Champions League wins
over Krasnodar and Rennes.

Cup, securing that trophy for the first time in our history.

injury, but after a month out he scored on his return in a 4-0 Champions
League win against Juventus.

Today marks the end of my journey with @chelseafc. I am incredibly
grateful for the time I spent at this special club.

the coaches & staff, and especially for you, the special supporters of

Chelsea confirm Timo Werner has rejoined Leipzig in a deal worth around

important to him in a World Cup year.
Werner and Thomas Tuchel had a somewhat frosty relationship. Werner
unhappy he wasn't used in FA Cup Final despite Tuchel revealing he was
injured in the warm up. Tuchel's perspective was Werner told him he felt
“uncomfortable” so wasn't risked but Werner still wanted to come on.
