訊息性偏差又稱觀察型偏差(observational bias)
從來源看訊息性偏差出現的原因，通常是因為在處理資料本身時
處理的方式不恰當所產生，譬如像是疾病的分組
要怎麼區分他和選擇性偏差的不同呢？
舉例來說 如果做研究就像做菜的話 選擇性偏差出現的地方就是選材料的地方
而訊息性偏差則是出現在你處理(還不算料理)食材時出現的問題

我們可以看到訊息性的偏差出現要有兩個成因
１．測量兩組的工具是有瑕疵的 或是用另一句話來說就是診斷工具有瑕疵
２．且產生的瑕疵在兩組之間是不同的
要符合兩個條件才會出現訊息性偏差
這裡的工具不只是指診斷工具唷 像問卷就不是用來診斷的
可是我們有時候在問問卷的時候，有些人因為事件發生太過久遠 導致回憶出現問題
這種偏差叫做回憶偏差(recall bias) 這也是一種訊息性偏差
他同樣會造成結果的錯誤

鑑別(差別)性分組錯誤(differential misclassification)
當疾病或暴露所致錯誤分類的結果，因為測量疾病或暴露之工具或儀器的準確度不夠
(sen & spe <100%)，且在病例組和對照組的作用是不相等的，
及錯誤分到兩組有不同的機率，在這種情形下就叫鑑別性分組錯誤
其影響力是使研究結果傾向或遠離於無差別的假設，此結果可能低估或高估危險性，方向
不一定，結果不可用
