TravelCookEat! is a new online event project I have been working on with my team and our first ticketed event will be held on Saturday, 27 Feb 2021.
As many of us have been working from home and always looking for something exciting to do from our safe home comfort, hence the idea to do this virtual travel and cook-along came from a casual conversation I had with my good friend Harri.
For this 60-minute interactive online event, we are teaming up with a tourist guide and feature a hotel. I will run a cook-along session with a simple dish from the destination. All the information for the cook along are included in the eTravelPack (cover photo above) that you will receive before event.
For our first ticketed event (£5) on 27 Feb, I have chosen my hometown Penang, Malaysia and working along with the experienced tourist guide Mark, @markngtc from @simply.enak . We have invited Eastern & Oriental Hotel @eohotelpg to join us during the second part of the tour and you will get to see inside the hotel and listen to all the fascinating and historical stories about the hotel. The Hotel Manager will be joining us for this exciting part Thank you to the hotel team for this amazing collaboration.
Harri is hosting the event and my assistant, Sandy @sandy_h.a_ni has been working hard with me to put on the contents and technical bits so that we can provide you with an exciting online event.
We are marketing this for the viewers in the United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Germany and France (hence we chose at 11:30am for the timezone so the cook-along lunch is ready after the show ends) but the rest of the world are welcome to join too. Massive thank to the Tourism Malaysia offices in The Hague, Frankfurt and Paris for their supports.
