寫一點 SQ 我個人在生活中的觀察
我住美國南部，川普州。過去幾周我出外時觀察了一下，鄉下店家到底是用什麼樣的支付系統
1. 鄉下小酒莊，離我住的城約一個鐘頭，人口密度大概是鄰居跟鄰居隔一公里那種。酒莊內大概有十張桌子可以坐下品酒，不大，用的是$SQ的系統。
2. 鄉下 Country store，賣的是牛肉乾跟醃黃瓜，炸豬皮之類的東西。在山路上，前後兩公里只有這家小店。我進去的時候只有我一個顧客。用的是$SQ
生活中其他地方看到的
1. 之前夏天在城內的 Farmer's Market 和女友去買盆栽時，賣盆栽(一盆美金$3)的老太太，目測至少65歲，掏出來的是Square的行動支付系統，插在手機上可以拿來刷卡的那種。另外店家也幾乎清一色SQ
2. 住了三年的郊區小鎮上的黑人老闆理髮小店，30年老店，從三年前我搬過去開始去理髮就是用Square的行動支付，老闆是第二代，目測至少55歲。
3. 工作的公司總部裡有當地的小咖啡廳，用的是Square
其他我在這邊有看過的幾個中小型商店支付系統像是Clover、Verifone等等，都沒有Square(以我一個顧客的角度)來得方便，推feature的速度也沒有Square快。像之前美國信用卡改成可以用感應的而不是用刷的，我以前沒注意，但在疫情之後我發現Square幾乎都有了。我去城內的買珍奶的店是用Clover，到今天（剛剛才去）還是只能用刷的。
平常去的Target裡面有星巴克，過去三個月有兩個早上它們支付系統故障，店員說抱歉，免費請客，對我是賺到兩杯咖啡。我還沒看過用Square的店故障，包括公司內的小咖啡廳(疫情前每天平均去一次以上)。
之前JPMorgan說推出的card reader QuickAccept要跟Square競爭，打得贏才有鬼。這對JPM來說是小生意，跟SQ是事業主力完全不同，出來玩票的有可能搶得下大塊市佔才奇怪。
如果今天Square是只有在大城市普及，那我作為投資人的信心會比較低。但我住小鎮或是去鄉下玩時看到的也幾乎全都是SQ。鄉村包圍城市。這點我覺得很不可思議──這些店家是受疫情打擊最嚴重的一批，所以等疫苗出來以後SQ應該會在GPV(支付量)上得到一些幫助。
換句話說，我並不認為SQ是疫情受益股，但他們Q3還能大幅成長，強。
我在176跟183各加了 1%總資金，長期看法不變。
