Pandemic has brought up a lot of things I need to heal through, and this is one of them: the idea of the "perpetual achievement". Sound familiar?

We glooorify it. What you did today is good, yeah - but what about what you'll do TOMORROW? You'd better be going higher, stronger, faster - never stop, don't you dare. Post the next ig picture. Generate tomorrow's tiktok content. Hope for likes. Touched the sky? Blow a hole through the atmosphere and torpedo straight on to the next burning star. The you from yesterday? We don't know her. We're better. Upgraded. V 2.0.

I've been living my life like this for years now, but the past 2 years have forced us all to BE slowed down and re-evaluate.

Don't get me wrong. Ambition & achievement are wonderful. (There are certainly many more things I want to achieve, and much coming up that I'm going to be sharing with you guys. Never stop dreaming.) But dreaming becomes a problem when it turns living into a nightmare, because you can't stop trying to put distance between yourself and yourself. Stop being the shadow you are continually trying to win. It's EXHAUSTING. Aren't you exhausted? I am.

So maybe the truth is this: that we were put on this earth to do ONE good thing with our lives. ONE properly good thing.
And maybe that's winning a great Waterloo style battle, or achieving a certain dream. Maybe it's finishing one great performance. One great thesis. A beautiful painting. An espresso magnum opus.

And then - we let that be enough. And we rest on our laurels. "Greatness" does not have to be continually proven. Likes are transient, clout & remembrance fade. Do what you do because you love it, and it is good, and it fulfils you. If when your day comes to an end you can say "I did this one thing to the best of my ability and it was good" - that is enough, hero. Be at peace. The bards will sing of that one deed. The song will be equally wonderful without infinite stanzas.

So rest on your laurels, goddesses. You've earned it.

How did you start drinking coffee?

I used to buy coffee from convenience stores before working as an editor in 1Zpresso. After working here, I learned to make pour over and got to know more about coffee. In the beginning, I only know the difference between espresso beans and African beans; gradually, I also learned about the origin and coffee processing and found that there are many flavors in a cup of coffee.

Aside from the taste, the smell also plays an important role in arousing memories. Try to savor the food in your mouth and keep the flavors deeply in your mind. It’s also interesting to share and discuss what flavors you’ve found with others.

🔴MY REVIEW: This’s my first time using #04 ESPRESSO color and so far I’m in love. Perfect for any shade of brows. It glides on easily, lasts all day and into the night without having to touch it up and doesn’t smudge either which is great. Highly recommend.

🔴MY REVIEW: Overall I really like this mascara. It applies evenly, stays on all day and is easy to remove without causing eyelash loss. This mascara is great for giving my lashes volume while still looking natural. No clumping and makes my lashes look amazing. Definitely recommend.

🔴MY REVIEW: The bristles are so perfect to draw thin lines. The eyeliner has a glossy effect which enhance and highlight my eyes. Its super pigmented and it’s waterproof but it’s quite easy to clean as well. The tip is capable of making thin to thick lines and so much more. Overall, I have no complaints.

5. LOVE LINER LIQUID EYELINER [TRUE BLACK] + [DARK BROWN] + [BABY BROWN]

💡DETAILS: Love Liner is a Japanese cosmetic brand. It is currently most popular eyeliners range with most colors assortment & vibrant liquid liner in Japan. 🔴MY REVIEW: My all time favorite eyeliner. I love the true black color, it fits well in my hand, the black color is rich and opaque, it glides on so smoothly and the top is flexible enough to create wings effortless and it holds well, so I have great stability. Well, I have really tears eyes and this eyeliner is absolutely a lifesaver. No more smudging all over my face. This Japanese brand is high quality, easy to remove and it lasts. Highly recommend. Truly a legend amongst the global makeup community.

We all might feel stuck or lost in life sometimes, not knowing where we are heading...because we cannot see what is ahead of us...and we could feel worried, scared and frustrated....That's how I felt when my son was diagnosed with autism since he was a small boy....

Step by step, we walked together...and he is now a big boy who just turned 14 years old in July 2020...When I look back, I feel very proud of every baby little step we made together...Coz I didn't know but I just had to keep going for him, and for us. And now I know...the little steps could bring us together and farther ahead if we just keep going...There are still a lot of challenges ahead for us....but we will just keep walking...like we have always....not knowing where we are heading...

So I decided to make this animation video for my little lover. I wish, one day, when he can understands the world better, he will remember all the little things that meant to us...and he could feel the love in this little song that I wrote for him and this beautiful animation.
