美國店舖慘劇
正當香港急速左傾，傳媒將注意力集中在國安法相關事件。這宗美國店舖慘劇可以說沒有報導或者說沒有引起香港人注意。明尼蘇達州伯斯恩維爾市的100萬平方英呎樓面伯斯恩維爾商場Burnsville Center Mall是地標也是公共交通中心。2020年10月，這個商場的一半因為斷供遭到拍賣。斷供欠款6,300萬美元，賣出價只有1,700萬美元。2010年，抵押這半個商場的估值是1億3,700萬美元。拍賣成交價不足當年估值兩成。債權人慘蝕超過4,000萬美元。
商場物業的業主在空置率高企，人流疏落的時候，每年承擔巨額虧蝕。以伯斯恩維爾商場為例，債權人拍賣物業損失超過4,000萬美元看似悲慘，事實上債權人笑著賣。因為這個商場自從2017年開始，每年虧蝕約1,000萬美元。
現今世代的人，可能很難明白以前瑪雅人其實是爭相去在球場上努力獲勝，然後為國捐軀，在祭祀中將自己奉獻給神明；根據導旅先生說，當年的人平均壽命較短，即使他們不們不為國捐軀，他們也難以活得很久，而且他們相信可以透過祭祀儀式，把自己奉獻給神明，自己也變成了一位神明，所以「爭相去尋死」變得合理，他們想追求另一種的存在。

It may be difficult for today's generation to understand that the Mayans actually were long for winning the game in order to sacrifice their lives for the country and for the gods. Our tour guide explained to us that the average life span of the Mayans were very short. As such, they saw it as an honour to win the game and thereby sacrifice themselves since they won't live long anyway. Also, to justify the sacrifice, they believed that by offering themselves to the god through sacrifice rituals, they could become a god.

Note 2: Most tour guides speak fluent English, so you don't need to worry about the communication. More importantly, as Mexico is influenced by American culture, please be reminded to pay tips to tour guides or otherwise they may become very impolite!

Beautiful Bali

Bali is also home to a unified confederation of kingdoms composed of 10 traditional royal Balinese houses, each house ruling a specific geographic area. The confederation is the successor of the Bali Kingdom. The royal houses are not recognised by the government of Indonesia; however, they originated before Dutch colonisation.
