สมาคมกีฬาฟุตบอลแห่งประเทศไทยฯ กล่าวว่า ตัวโปรเจ็คนี้ เป็นหนึ่งในแผนแม่บทพัฒนาฟุตบอลแห่งชาติ 20 ปี โดยหวังว่าตัวการ์ตูน Thai League : Battle Ball! จะช่วยให้เยาวชนซึมซับในกีฬาฟุตบอล เหมือนกับที่ เจลีกประสบความสำเร็จมาแล้ว

Thai League : Battle Ball! เป็นการ์ตูน Official License ของไทยลีค และ สมาคมกีฬาฟุตบอลแห่งประเทศไทยฯ จะมีการใส่อัตลักษณ์ของสโมสรในศึกโตโยต้า ไทยลีก ในฤดูกาล 2020 ทั้ง 16 ทีม ผ่านฝีมือนักเขียนการ์ตูน คุณ เอกรัฐ มิลินทะภาส ที่เคยฝากฝีมือไว้กับการ์ตูน เรื่อง เดโมนิคคอรี่ย์ สำนักพิมพ์ NED และเรื่อง แพนดอร่า สำนักพิมพ์ LET'S COMIC เคยได้รับรางวัล Bronze Award จากรางวัลการ์ตูนนานาชาติ Japan International Manga Award #4 จากเรื่อง PANDORA สำนักพิมพ์ LET'S COMIC
