✨ GIVE YOURSELF PERMISSION TO SHINE
I was almost giving up blogging when I was invited to speak at a small local event for young people.
On the night of the event, after I finished my talk and was walking back to my seat, a young girl came to me. She was taller than me, had an oval-shaped face and wore her dark long hair on a pony tail.
I had no idea who she was. But she held my hands and said: "I read your blog, Milena. You helped me through my depression." She was in tears. And in her eyes, I saw a spark.
I will never forget that spark.
It was the moment when I knew that my voice matters, my stories matter.
It is the moment that keeps me writing until now, 7 years later. With 1 book published, a blog that has organically touched half a million readers worldwide, and a thriving coaching business.
Brenda Ueland wrote in If You Want to Write: "Everybody is talented, original and has something important to say."
Everybody, including you.
What were the darkest moments in your life?
How did you make it through?
What did you learn?
These stories can change life. You can choose to keep it to yourself. Or you can choose to share it with the world.

1 dress, 3 looks!
Here’s an additional tip - wear a dress with a pair of super chic high heels for a WOW experience. But why high heels? I think high heels with a mini dress always make me look much taller than I am LOL
Realistically it’s going to be a while before I’ll actually get to wear this dress out.. but hey! If you’re looking for ways to keep that motivation going over the MCO, dressing like you’re going to work or heading out can really help boost your mood and drive those blues away

The power of putting the first and second multiplication miracles side-by-side is to see the interesting math in them.
When Jesus was given five loaves of bread, He fed five thousand men and there were twelve baskets full leftover.
On the other hand, when Jesus was given more to start with—seven loaves, He fed only four thousand men and there were only seven baskets full leftover.
You see, the God-kind of math works like this: the less of your flesh that gets in the way, the more God can demonstrate His perfect power in the situation.
When you start with more loaves and fish, you’ll think that you need less of God’s power to overcome the problem.
Imagine if the multitudes had 10 cart loads full of loaves and fishes to begin with.
In that situation, man would tend to rely more on his own resources, ability and strength than on God.
However when all you have is five loaves and two fishes, with five thousand hungry men to feed, you can’t help but throw up your hands in surrender and admit that you cannot but only God can.
With God, less of man’s fleshly efforts is a better opportunity for Him to demonstrate His power and receive glory.
When you place your faith in Him, and not on your own existing resources, ability or strength, watch Him multiply His supply of Grace until it greatly exceeds the need.
There’s a Chinese proverb that says “One mountain still has another mountain taller than it.”
If you think you understand what being blessed means, wait till you keep humbly placing your faith in God as if you’re always starting from zero.
That’s as good as saying, “I believe that you’re infinitely greater than this my God, and the heights of your love and goodness towards me exceed even this.”
“Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, “This is Yahweh’s word to Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says Yahweh of Armies. Who are you, great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you are a plain; and he will bring out the capstone with shouts of ‘Grace, grace, to it!’”” (Zechariah 4:6-7 WEB)
If you’re facing a great mountain today that feels like an unconquerable obstacle, don’t fear.
Your victory will not come by man’s might or power, but by the Holy Spirit—all by God’s Grace!

In this video we recommend two compact light stands for on location shoots for start up photographers or filmmakers. As for any job having proper lighting is important, but also the correct tool for holding the lights up. This video we recommend two compact light stands that we use quite a lot and found them the best suited to move to locations when having a shoot.
Manfrotto Nano Pole Stand - https://amzn.to/2QrhuZc
The first is that Nano Pole Stand which got special features and it being quite small when collapsed 49cm and reach 195cm height when extended. Its a great light stand when you are a single shooter and only need one stand for the job, as its lightweight and also quite small to carry without getting in your way. There is also a version without the extended feet which is the Manfrotto 5001B Nano stand ( https://amzn.to/2EjbESw ) which cost slightly less, but honestly the extended feet often needed when using any modifiers like and umbrella. Also we found the bag that comes with the Manfrotto Compact action tripod ( https://amzn.to/2UF74Uo )is the perfect fit for this stand and enable us to carry it and not get damages when traveling.
Manfrotto 1051bac - https://amzn.to/2PzxvHh
The 2nd light stand we recommend is the Manfrotto 1051bac, which in size is taller than the Nano being 67cm, but also have a reach of 210cm which is taller. However why we recommend it is because this stand is stackable and interlocks with each other making it easier to carry a stack of them, but also when placed in a case, they don't shuffle around and get scratch that easily. And the 1051BAC can hold up to 4kg which allows it being use with a much heavier light setup on top.

Hey everybody,
This video is going to demonstrate how you can use a bit of makeup to create an illusion of a slimmer & taller nose by the techniques of contouring.
What sucks is with eyes and lips- everybody has different preferences but with the nose there is a so called set standard. "Slim & high". What is this 'set standard' anyway? I don't believe in it but doesn't the media like to brain wash us all?
I know I'm going to get a lot of slack about making a nose contouring video but I don't care =). I'm here to do my thing and if it's requested- I'll do it. I rather my viewers not go through the pain from nose surgery and nose contour instead. It's cheap, safe and you got nothing to lose.
If you can apply eyeliner to make eyes bigger, wear black to give illusion of a slimmer body, wear heels to make yourself taller, wear extensions to fake having long hair; why can't you use makeup to give illusion of a slimmer nose?
Genetically- asians not only scar more than any other race but a lot of us have flatter profile & a bulbous tip. This means the nose can appear wider with less definition. It's ok- I appreciate the oriential face. I think each race is uniquely beautiful in their own way. But I do understand that many people ARE self conscious about the nose. So unhappy that it's all they can think about.
The way I contour my nose is a bit different from how most makeup artists contour the nose. This is because everybody has different noses and one form of makeup will not cater everybody. Just like how I can't do a lot of makeup looks on my eyes because I have small eyelids.
That's fine =) We work with other methods that work well for us. I find that this technique works best for me. Makeup should have no rules. The techniques I used for nose contouring are mostly catered for my type of nose because there aren't a lot of nose contouring videos for asian noses on Youtube. However- if you feel you have a wide alar base or that your nose is flat; you can try out these methods if you wish =)
Remember, nobody is perfect. I would hate to think any of you guys let your nose affect you from living your life fully. Everybody has flaws and sometimes what you think is a flaw could be something your family & friends love about you. You know what? I like my nose now. I used to hate my nose. I would look at the mirror and I cry because I thought it didn't blend well with the rest of my face. This made me insecure and I would try to photoshop my photos or even rip up perfectly fine normal photos of myself. I've even considered getting a nose job before. Would you believe that? Crazy eh? Not really because we all have been there too where we've once hated our own reflection. When are we going to stop being so harsh on ourselves and focus on our good features instead?
My nose is actually one of my boyfriend's favourite feature about me. My nose is also inherited from my father and it makes me happy that I have a feature that represents somebody I love & care about. It's part of me. I should love it and feel lucky that I can breathe out of it and that it keeps me alive.
I'm working hard on my new cosmetic brushes but I will keep you guys informed with the progress. Loving the dual end pencil/fluffy brush though ^_^. We shall see.
If you are considering surgery on your face or body, I won't judge you at all because I understand you have reasons. But remember to think it through because there are a lot of factors to think about. Think about who are you doing this for and remember, surgery doesn't necessarily mean you will be happy. Definitely think about all sorts of alternatives before going under the knife =) It can be dangerous and no surgery is 100% guaranteed safe or successful. Why not try contouring? Talk to somebody you trust.
"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt within the heart". Helen Keller.
I may be 4ft 11 with a round face, wide nose and thick legs- I'm beautiful because I feel beautiful. It took me years to be comfortable in my own skin. No amount of makeup has ever made me feel as beautiful as I do now ^_^. You are beautiful too. Tell yourself this and believe it!
Ps. I have been watching everybody's contest entries and it's lovely to see my viewers faces. You guys are so cute ^_^. Keep them coming. I like to watch you guys before and after I sleep ^_^

For a veteran like Allen Iverson, a win in November against a lottery team rarely registers as important. After losing his first two games with his new team, that wasn't the case with this victory.
Iverson had 30 points, nine assists and provided a spark for Detroit after a slow start, winning his first game since joining the Pistons, 100-92 over the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night.
"It was a huge lift off of me," Iverson said. "I knew it would happen. You think every game you go out and play it's going to happen. It feels good. I wanted to get the monkey off my back. I'm just excited that I got my first win and I can now try to get a lot more."
Tayshaun Prince added 26 points and 11 rebounds for the Pistons, who had lost their first two games since acquiring Iverson from Denver last week for All-Star point guard Chauncey Billups, key reserve Antonio McDyess and Cheikh Samb.
After falling behind by 15 points early in the opener of a four-game West Coast road trip, the Pistons fought back and beat the short-handed Kings for their first win with the former league MVP.
After the slow start for the Pistons, Iverson scored eight points and assisted on a three-point play by Kwame Brown in the first 3 minutes of the second quarter, carrying his new team like he had his old ones in Denver and Philadelphia for so long.
"I feel like in the first couple of games I wasn't as aggressive as they wanted me to be," he said. "It's hard coming into a situation where guys have been established, making the Eastern Conference finals six years in a row and then you come in as a major part. You just want to do the right thing. It's going to take a while, but I'm willing to take the challenge."
Sacramento played without its leading scorer, Kevin Martin, who is out at least a week after spraining his left ankle in a victory over Golden State on Sunday. With Martin out, John Salmons moved from small forward to shooting guard and rookie Jason Thompson got his first start, giving the Kings three players 6-foot-11 or taller in the starting lineup.
But Sacramento was unable to capitalize on the size advantage, with coach Reggie Theus pleading in vain at times with his big guys to "take the little guy down" low.
The Kings still led 77-75 heading into the fourth quarter but that's where they really missed Martin, who was averaging 22.4 points before the injury. Without their top scoring threat, the Kings went nearly 5 minutes without a point midway through the fourth and struggled to get good looks at the basket.
"It's a learning experience," Theus said. "You've got to learn how to win games. You've got to learn how to win down the stretch. We had six turnovers in the last five minutes of the game and none of them were caused by the other team. It was just carelessness on our part."
Theus was also upset about the foul shooting disparity, calling it "ridiculous" that a road team got 36 fouls shots to just 17 for the Kings.
Iverson hit a big 3-pointer early in the quarter but the Pistons could not pull away. With the lead at two with under 2 minutes left, Thompson fouled Prince on a jump shot and he made both free throws to make it 94-90.
After a turnover by Beno Udrih at the other end, Richard Hamilton scored on a pretty give-and-go to make it a six-point game.
Spencer Hawes scored 19 points and Udrih added 18 for the Kings, who had won the first three games on their four-game homestand after starting the season 0-4 on the road.
"I really feel like we outplayed them for 42 minutes," Theus said. "They are a veteran team and know how to win games down the stretch."
The Kings scored 14 straight points early in the first quarter, holding Detroit scoreless for more than 5 minutes. The Pistons tightened up defensively and whittled away at the lead in the second quarter, going into the half tied at 50.
"I just want the guys to concentrate on the defensive end," coach Michael Curry said. "Because if we defend, we're going to find ways to score the basketball. We're just too talented not to score the basketball."
Hamilton, who failed to make a basket for just the second time in 580 career starts Sunday against Boston, missed his first seven shots. He finally broke an 0-for-16 drought with a 3-pointer late in the first quarter but Detroit still trailed 31-18 after one. Hamilton finished with 17 points on 4-for-16 shooting.
Game notes
Iverson got called for a technical foul by John Goble in the third quarter for arguing a no-call. ... Detroit G Rodney Stuckey will rejoin the team Wednesday after missing the first game of a West Coast road trip to undergo tests for being lightheaded and dizzy.
