We made it to the summit of Bukit Timah Hill, woohoo!

This was our first time scaling to the top as we explored the nature reserve over the weekend. I have to say it was really exhausting walking up the long and steep slope, not to mention that we still had a baby, umbrellas and diaper bag to carry, haha.

We had a choice of climbing the stairs or walking along the main road to get to the summit and I was surprised that the kids chose the stairs in unison. All right, let's do it then!

I had to stop a few times to catch my breath because very 喘 but I was glad we didn't give up and managed to perserve till the end. I was hoping to get a good view at the summit but other than this rock and a pavilion to rest, there was really nothing much there.

We couldn't get a good view of the quarry too because it was blocked by the vegetation but at least we saw some monkeys and bugs. The highlight was seeing a giant forest ant and debating about whether a bird we saw high up in the tree was a red crowned barbet or common flameback woodpecker.

It was fun making our way down the hill after and the kids said they wished they could roll down instead because that would be so fun! Hoping to explore more parks soon even though it is the busy exam period for the kids. We all need to take a breather from time to time, this definitely did me a lot of good and made me happy.

Nier Replicant Tree Memories - The Color of Lost Envy & how many were lost to the Red-Eyed Beasts
In the second half of Nier Replicant, after some major story events, you’ll return to the Forest of Myth one more time. This time, the Mayor will point you to the large tree at the back of the forest, which is worshipped in this area as if it were a god. When you go and interact with the tree, you’ll once again be given some riddles to solve - but this time there’s a twist.

That twist is as follows - we can’t give you the absolute answers to these riddles as there’s an element of randomness to them. The only way you can find the answers is by carefully reading the stories the tree tells, and then from those stories discerning the correct answer. However, we can explain how to find the correct answer in your game. Here’s that:

Q: "What was the color of lost envy?"
A: Answer with whatever the color of the girl’s eyes was in the first of the tree’s stories. It’ll appear like this: “Only one person brings the boy comfort: a healthy young girl with tan skin and [ANSWER] eyes.”
Q: “I implore you: How many were lost by the warrior who fought the red-eyed beasts?"
A: This detail is outright stated in the story; it says how many companions she has had. Look out for the following line: “Her friends and fellow warriors come and go. Some flee in terror. Some are eaten. She began the fight with [ANSWER] companions, but most are gone now.”

What is forest bathing? How is it done, and how is it good for you? In celebration of International Day of Forests 2021, our team made this mini film on an increasing popular form of therapy called forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku. Forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku, is a wellness practice that started in Japan in the early 1980s.

We invited a bunch of friends to experience this unique activity that’s said to have a vast number of benefits, right here in Singapore. Led by You Min, a certified nature and forest therapy guide from Xiu Nature Connections (@forestbathingsg), here’s how it went.
