We had Panda Bento at Ueno Zoo in Tokyo. It was very cute and looked very easy to make, so we tried to recreate it at home 🐼 If you cannot get the bamboo skin wrapping sheet, you can of course put it in a Bento box. I did so, too for kids' school lunch 😉

To use, soak the Bamboo Sheet 2~3 hours in advance to make it soft. Rinse and wipe off any extra water before you use. Peel off 5mm-wide bamboo string to tie up the wrapped Bento.

If you are making it for Bento Box, make the topping dishes in advance and keep them in the fridge. They can last for 2 days!
